You all realize that Jethro is trolling you, right? I don't know why you feed the troll, it just makes it worse.

The Maras are football royalty. The league makes sure their elite franchise are taken care of. I truly believe that.

Not to say Darnold wont be great one day. Just high ranking folks in the league seriously doubted it would be soon.

Lets face it. Shurmur and Gettleman know more about football than anyone in Florham Park.

Anyone else planning to be at the Jets-Redskins practice on Sunday? I'm planning to go but plans don't always work out.

He's done it in the baseball forums too. Declared the Yankees season over at 68-42 after getting swept in Boston.

Takes dedication to consistently rile people up for the sake of it. I approve.

I've like Middleton since he signed with the Jets, and he went to school right here in NC at Appalachian St., so I'm really glad to see that he's doing so well. Glad to see Avery Williamson finally making his presence felt. I like Walford showing up, too. I have been really disappointed in Leggett. I'm starting to think that the Jets may keep 3 TEs and none of them will be named Leggett (Herndon, Walford and Tomlinson). This is the 2nd time I think I've seen George Atkinson III's name mentioned too. That's a bit surprising for a "walk on." The Jets can probably stash him on the PS if they really like him. Nice to see a mention of Luvu too.

Middleton looking really good, and I love that he can play either S position.

I tend to agree regarding Leggett. He's on the bubble at this point.
Sterling still has an outside shot. I feel like none of these guys can block worth shite except Tomlinson tho, so he's got a good shot.

Yeah, I think Tomlinson will make it by virtue of his blocking. The big question is whether they'll keep 2 or 3 TEs. I know numbers will be tight and there's a lot of good competition in camp, but I can't imagine their not keeping 3 TEs since Bates likes to run 2 TE formations. They'll need to keep at least one backup TE after the first 2. I don't know if Sterling is eligible for the PS, but guess the Jets could possibly keep him and/or maybe even Leggett on the PS. They also have Enunwa and if they keep Flowers that would be a 2nd player that could function as an H-Back, so they may only keep 2 TEs on the roster and then keep one or two on the PS.

Just the fact that the Browns passed on Sam should tell you he is going to be elite :p

Just an hour away from me here he was back at ASU over the summer receiving much love. My GF saw him in the weight room and couldn't wait to tell me, she was fan-girling over the affair.

Bur more importantly it looks like he's going to be a good fit that will provide needed depth. I love to see a local product succeed.

Interesting article on the Jets blog about some young undrafted FAs on the team.

    https://www.sny.tv/jets/news/three-undrafted-free-agents-who-could-break-out-for-jets/289142308

    Here's something I found at ganggreennation.com

    https://www.ganggreennation.com/2018/5/23/17383474/jets-sign-wr-jonah-trinnaman

Does anyone know anything else about Trinnaman? I haven't heard of him before.

So the league told the Maras to pass on Darnold? How much have you drank tonight?

Gentlemen is 67 and Eli is 37. The giants drafted to win now, not groom a QB behind Eli for 2-3 years.

How old are you? I remember the Mara's, NFL royalty being told by Rozell to either get their shit together or they would take the team away from them. I remember fans burning tickets in the parking lot and boycotting the team. I remember the Giants having George Young forced on them or lose the team. Royalty.

Lets face it, thats your stance from the day things started getting good around here. Its based on nothing, other than you keep putting it out there. Funny, of all the HC in NY only one has been fired as a HC. Twice.

Or that you have no idea that there arent Maras running the team, its a Mara and a Tisch

Please name all these high ranking league folks who predicted the nonsense youre spewing here. Are they the same high ranking folks who had Darnold going 2nd to the Giants?

    Ralph Vacchiano‏ @RVacchianoSNY

Teddy Bridgewater on why Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold will be OK in his preseason debut:

“He’s a cool guy. He seems like a guy you can’t break. He’s the real deal. He gets it.”

Shit, guess TB didnt consult with "the Maras"

I firmly believe the NFL will do everything in its power to give its “blue blood” franchises an advantage.

Really the only red flag I had about Darnold was the Giants (an organization that knows what they are doing) passing on him.

That said I think Sam Darnold will be good.... Just not in year 1.

So your theory is there are extremely powerful talent evaluators who work for the nfl and dictate what players teams should pick? And these talent evaluators told John Mara to pass on Sam Darnold?

I'm genuinely curious in your beliefs. Conspiracy theorists interest me.

Also strange is, how did the giants go 3-13 last year, with all these powerful forces in the nfl helping the giants out? These powerful people pulling strings behind the scenes must have really screwed up last year.
