I don't really see them talking crap about anyone but Rosen there really.

Darnold not at all and Allen, just the accuracy thing which was no secret. Yeah he subtlety bashed Rosen but Rosen did the same to them on a couple occasions, including after the draft. he has it coming.

Yeah, but you don't talk down on a prospect like that IMO. I don't think I have ever seen that happen. You keep that in-house. Its like the execs are trying to justify themselves for taking Mayfield.

"Everybody wanted Mayfield! The Jets! The Patriots! The Broncos! The Cardinals! The Bills! And all the other teams too. We stole him at #1 overall. What a move by us!" -Browns trying to justify a terrible decision.

Cracks me up. I am really happy about it though. Darnold being a Jet is seriously the best thing to happen to them in my lifetime.

You make a great point that not many Mayfield supporters are making now: He is the #1 overall pick. No excuses about his size, lack of speed or mobility, playing in a Big 12 offense, etc. That is all gone now. He is the #1 pick. All-Pro's, Pro Bowls, Super Bowls, bringing the Browns back to relevance, that is what is expected of him now. Being an okay QB, who takes them to the playoffs a couple times, is a BUST now. Anything worse: HUGE BUST and if that happens, added to the fact that Darnold turns out to be as good as I think: it could be an all-time failure of a decision. Unfortunate for Mayfield, but that is life.

No doubt, the Giants, Browns and Jets will be tied together for years to come cause of this draft. Hopefully we are the ones that come out on top. Mayfield has to be the best QB from this class and have the most success. They put a big target on his back.

Is it me or are there no authentic jerseys available on Jets Shop? All I see is the $99 screen printed shitty jerseys.

Yeah, I keep looking. They aren’t selling any authentics right now.

I called NFL shop as well and they just aren’t making them right now. I’m not buying the dollar menu jersey. My names and numbers have to be stitched.

I can't believe these people made these jerseys so long ago and somehow, against all odds, were 100% correct. :D

Made for twinks. Let us know when the stitched ones are in. I think they are called "limited" (mid-tier) and "elite vapor untouchable" (field version) or some new unnecessary naming convention Nike incepts.

For right now, all these guys were gr
Yay! Thanks for the welcome, girl friend! Yes, CFB fans can be bat-shit crazy, but I think we're a little more laid back, we know our players will always be ours - they chose us, and our guys always come back to support their Alma Mater, so we see our former players like Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott, Anthony Munoz, etc., on campus and on the sidelines of the Coliseum. I don't think you can beat the tradition and pageantry of CFB....the horse, the Song Girls and Tommy Trojan!

I will say, the creepiest, most disgusting moment in all my years (since late 60s) attending CFB games, came in the Rose Bowl vs Penn State. The video board showed historic footage of both programs, and we were stunned at the reaction of the PS fans when they roared cheering at the image of Paterno on the screen. We were embarrassed when OJ came up on the screen...not a peep, and he committed his crimes long after he left USC and the NFL.

    Happy to be here!

Sam Darnold already drawing fans for Jets
The selection of the USC quarterback has helped ticket sales over the past few days.

"The selection of Sam Darnold last Thursday night made plenty of sense for the New York Jets, a team desperate for a quarterback. It also might make them plenty of cents too.

Already, the Jets are seeing an uptick in buzz because of the selection of Darnold, a can’t-miss quarterback according to the talking heads of sports radio. The selection of Darnold, No. 3 overall in last week’s NFL Draft, has received barely any criticism from pundits or fans. But the real and truest indicator of the excitement around this pick is coming off the field and away from the headlines.

Darnold, it turns out, is selling tickets and creating demand.

While it is uncertain and way too premature to know if the Jets will start Darnold come Week 1, that doesn’t seem to matter much to the secondary market. According to data obtained from ______ prices are up rather significantly for Jets games at MetLife Stadium put on the ticket broker site since the selection of the USC quarterback.

For the Jets opener against the Miami Dolphins, the median price for a ticket before the draft on _____ was $130, a number that spiked 20 percent to $156 after the selection of Darnold. For the big game against the Green Bay Packers, the median price went from $199 before to $243 just a day after Darnold became a Jet. Home games against the Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots rose a similar amount.

“We normally don't see much immediate movement in our Vivid Seats ticket price data following the NFL Draft,” said Stephen Spiewak, manager of digital content marketing for _____. However, ticket prices for the New York Jets clearly spiked, suggesting sellers are commanding more for tickets than before the Jets picked Sam Darnold."

Prices for other teams around the NFL, Spiewak said, remained relatively flat after the draft. The Jets, he said, saw the biggest bounce in median price on their site.

For the Jets, this bounce is likely to be seen in season ticket purchases as well as merchandising as they cash in on the Samchise."

Cool but that "samchise" nickname needs to burn in a fire. That is awful on many levels

Wondering if we really are getting a uniform refresh.

Other teams like the Titans have their new Nike jerseys up already.
The Jets have slim pickins for the stitched ones.

That is an odd philosophy. Top rookies like Adams, Williams, and now Darnold are guaranteed 4, most likely 5 years with the Jets. Free Agents could be released pretty quick. I learned from my Marshall, Fitzpatrick, and Wilkerson (after he signed his new deal) jerseys! Darnold seems like a great purchase to me. I have my own odd philosophy: don't buy players jerseys who are younger than me. Problem is: I got old. So either I had to stop buying jerseys or break it. I think I will break it and get Sam's. :)

The average NFL career is what, a tad over 3 years? Really high standards to not buy a player's jersey if he's on his first contract.
