I agree. Because of Hack and that failed stab a finding a QB I don't think this fanbase can live through a developmental period with another QB. Especially when you have idiots like Ray Lucas asking who ever heard of a red shirt QB in the NFL. A QB who played STs asks that question. How about Chad?lots of them, but he questions it on tv. You might be right with regards to Allen holding the ball too long. My only thing is I don't know why. Is his anticipation poor or are his WRs not getting separation, early separation. Allen is the tough one to predict. Are his stats the product solely of being on clearly the worst team or is it a combo? How much better would he be with better talent around him? No one knows for sure, the only sure thing is he has the most physical talent but the game is much more than that.
You're right, a step back does work, has in the past so...I know o can get fired up, still am a crazed fan at heart. Don't think it will ever leave me, it's just in me. I agree though, it's the contrasting opinions that fuel the fun. How boring would it be to all just agree with each other. It would be like rooting for the Pats and freaking Tom Brady. Lol There's a part of me that appreciates the analytics of sports but I love the analysis through what I see or think o see. Trust your eyes, they're usually right. BTW, I know Macc is lurking. He's picking up a lot of insight reading what we post!
Very similar to Darnold td in the rose bowl game to win it. Great throw here. Will need to checkout the 2016 game as I think Tcu was good that year on the defensive side of the ball.
https://clutchpoints.com/jets-rumor...k-will-select-baker-mayfield-3rd-overall/amp/ Todd McShay saying he expects the Jets to take Baker at 3.
The more Mayfield rumors I hear the more I believe that the Johnson made a HUGE mistake letting a lame-duck regime make the most important draft pick this franchise has had since 2009. My guess is that Bowels and Bates want Mayfield because as the oldest and most experienced of the four he is probably the best “plug and play” guy. I’ve also head the argument that Bowles fits Bates’ system well, but what does that really mean? There is a very good chance both Bates and Bowles will be fired after the season, and whatever QB we draft will have to learn a new system. McCagnan? He’s in the same boat. The team still has one of the worst rosters in the league, and the only way he can keep his job is if the QB he picks shows something in year one.
Even if this was a consideration, Josh Rosen is the most ready to play QB in this class. Start a couple more threads about how you don’t want us to pick Mayfield.
Can’t wait for Mayfield. Our offense will finally have an identity/someone leading it who has some moxie.
They could be blowing smoke, but I don’t see it. Who knows. Maybe they love Josh Allen and are praying he falls. I pray that isn’t the scenario.
Trading to 3 for mayfield or Allen just seems like desperation to me. Didn’t like the trade but now that we are here I am afraid it’s rosen darnold or bust.
None of this had any real world logic to it. But this is what you get when you think every incoherent thought you have is made into a thread.
