Macc needs to be escorted off the property if he does this. Its bold for sure but trading up only to trade out with a division rival no less.Yes, we need alot but we need high end talent.

Mayfield isn't dropping to #12. Sorry, but that discredits the rest of your draft. I would like the Chubb pick, but seriously doubt if the Jets will draft a RB, nor do I think they should at this point in spite of the fact that earlier, I thought they should take a RB. That was before they signed Crowell and Rawls, however.

I would also like the Hurst pick.

The Jets have glaring needs at OLB edge rusher and DE, however, Hubbard isn't a very good prospect imo. He's doesn't have the speed and quickness to be that effective as a pass rusher.

If Allen and Darnold are gone I’m fine with trapping Buffalo into taking Baker or Rosen. I don’t think either will succeed in cold weather situations.

WR we don’t need anymore unless we get some extremely great value. Say Christian Kirk falls to the 3rd.

If the draft played out like this I would be looking to move back up to the mid to early 2nd with some of the extra picks.

I love the draft results, but there is no way the jets trade up to #3 for the franchise qb, just to trade down again.

I took you up on your invitation. Following is my draft.

Rd 1 Pk 3 - Mayfield, Baker, QB, Oklahoma

    Rd 3, Pk 76 - Daniels, James, C, Iowa (76, 174) from GB for (72)

Rd 4, Pk 107 - Penny, Rashaad, RB, SDSU

Rd 5, Pk 157 - Griffin, Shaquem, OLB, UCF

    Rd 5, Pk 174 - Turay, Kemoko, OLB 3/4, Rutgers (76, 174) from GB for (72)

Rd 6, Pk 179 - Fumagalli, Troy, TE, Wisconsin

Rd 7, Pk 235 - Lazard, Allen, WR, Iowa State

    I took Mayfield over Rosen

In the 3rd round, I was tempted to take Uchenna Nwosu, but saw that Daniels and the OT from Pitt were ranked lower in the 3rd round on that site. I opted to trade down thinking I could get one of them 4 picks lower, and took Daniels as he should be a great fit in our zone scheme, and will be great insurance if Swanson and Long can't stay healthy, and would give the Jets some great flexibility. It would enable the Jets to cut Carpenter and play Swanson or Long at LG.

4th round - I had no intent to take a RB in the draft and had skipped Nick Chubb in the 3rd and did again in the 4th, but Penny was just too tempting to pass up even though he was rated lower than Chubb.

5th round - The Jets need an edge rusher, and I liked both Griffin's and Kemoko's speed and raw ability. Either can contribute on ST immediately, and possibly be a designated pass rusher. In time, one or both could develop into a quality pass-rushing OLB

6th round - I had passed up Fumagalli twice in the 5th round, and maybe in the 4th round, but don't remember. I was surprised that he was still there in the 6th, and with the Jets' TE position a big question mark, decided I couldn't pass him up again

7th round - Lazard was the highest-ranked prospect left. He has great height (6'5"), and should be a big red zone threat. Hands catcher who is a big target, uses size well, but can get low throws. Possible future TE. Can block. Could possibly be a good player to block FG attempts. Was projected to go in the 4th-5th round range, so a good value

Rd 1, Pk 3 - Mayfield, Baker, QB, Oklahoma

Rd 3, Pk 72 - Michel, Sony, RB, Georgia

    Rd 4, Pk 107, Hand, Da'Shawn, DE 3/4, Alabama

Rd 5, Pk 157, Hamilton, DaeSean, WR, Penn State

Rd 6, Pk 179, Flowers, Dimitri, FB, Oklahoma

Rd 7, Pk 235, Stroman, Greg, CB, Va. Tech

Rd 1 - Rosen was taken by the Browns, but I would have taken Mayfield anyway

Rd 3 - there wasn't a single one of the top C, OG or OT prospects left at that point. Even though I hadn't planned on taking a RB, Michel was sitting there, and was just too great a value to pass up. The only other player I considered there was Uchenna Nwosu, OLB.

Rd 4 - Again, I had hoped that there might be an OL, TE, or OLB worth taking, but there wasn't. Hand was one of the top 2-3 prospects left and he fit a need, so it was a no-brainer.

Rd 5 - Hamilton was the top player left on the board and too good a value to pass.

Rd 6 - I had hoped to find a slot CB here or STs player, but there weren't any. Normally wouldn't look for a FB here, but Flowers would help both our rushing and passing attack, and since he and Mayfield played together would have good familiarity, and there was no one who I thought was a better player at this point. I considered Folorunso Fatukasi, but thought Flowers would be a better choice.

Rd 7 - Stroman is a returner (both KO and PR) and even though thin, could possibly be the new slot CB as he has the quickness, speed and coverage ability. He is also a ballhawk. The only question is can he hold up due to his thin frame.

Rd 1, Pk 3 - Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma

Rd 3, Pk 72 - Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, OLB, Oklahoma

Rd 4, Pk 107 - Uchenna Nwosu, OLB, USC

Rd 5, Pk 157 - Armani Watts, FS, Texas A&M

Rd 6, Pk 179 - Kekee Coutee, WR, Texas Tech

Rd 7, Pk 235 - Greg Stroman, CB, VA Tech

Again, all the good OL were gone. I couldn't believe my luck when Okoronkwo was there at #72, and then Nwosu was still there at #107. Between these two, the Jets should be able to find a quality edge rusher and good depth.

Watts was the best player at that spot, would provide good depth, and could be an excellent STs contributor

With Anderson possibly getting suspended, Coutee, in spite of his thin frame and lack of play strength, could offer the Jets a deep threat to replace Anderson if they want to move on from him.

Stroman, again for STs value and possibly slot/nickel corner role.

I like this draft site much better than the other. The only problem is that one has to pay to join after an initial 3-day free trial.

Rd 1, Pk 3 - Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

    Rd 3, Pk 72 - James Daniels, C, Iowa

Rd 4, Pk 107 - Josh Sweat, OLB, FSU

Rd 5, Pk 159 - Rashaad Penny, RB, SDSU

Rd 6, Pk 179 - Folorunso Fatukasi, DT, Connecticut

Rd 7, Pk 228 - Avante Maddox, CB, Pittsburgh

Rd 7, Pk 235 - Tyler Conklin, TE, C. Michgan

In this my final draft, I took Rosen just for the heck of it to see if it would affect anything else in the outcome.

Daniels was there in the 3rd and I pounced.

4th round - I had a real tough time here making a decision between Josh Sweat who has the speed an athleticism to be a playmaking edge rusher at OLB for the Jets (but he's pretty raw), and trading down and taking Rashaad Penny, Martinas Ranking and Hayden Hurst. Can Greene coach Sweat up? The problem with Rankin is he may not be able to cope with the speed he'd face at LT and may not have the power to be a successful run blocker at RT. His best position may be C in the NFL. Hurst has great hands and good speed, but he will be a 25 year-old rookie. He's a bit raw as well. He has a tendency to tip off his routes and needs work as a blocker. I was very tempted to roll with Hurst, but ultimately, his age and the need at edge rusher was just too great, so I went with Sweat. Sweat was the highest-rated player left at that point as well.

5th Round - Troy Fumagalli, TE was there but he was rated about the 10th best player left and Rashaad Penny and some other good players were still there. I took a chance to trade down just two slots, thinking that I could probably still get either Fumagalli or Penny, but hoping that I could still get Fumagalli. I wanted to add another couple of picks that I could use for STs. It didn't work, however, as Fumagalli was taken by the team I traded with, but Penny was a great consolation prize and really the better player, although less of a need, but he was an insane value in the 5th round.

6th round - Folorunso Fatukasi, DT, Connecticut - raw, but versatile with good potential for 3-4 DE

7th round - I was tempted to take Conklin, especially after missing out on Fumagalli, but Maddox offered too much potential, quickness and speed at CB to turn down. I was still able to get Conklin with the 2nd 7th rounder.
