He could've been a great tennis player, but instead opted for football. If he didn't love football, I think he would've stayed with tennis.

He wants to be an investment banker/venture capitalist when his football career is over.

He could easily eclipse his NFL earnings, even those of a second contract, in that type of profession if he was good at it.

His father, who's a doctor, could convince him to quit football after his next concussion. That's my biggest fear with Rosen. I don't doubt his abilities as the best pure passer in this draft and a possible day 1 starter.

You'd have to think that's a hot question during the interview process, I do agree.

How often do parents successfully convince their adult children who smoke, to stop?

Here's a rebuttal to the claims that Josh Rosen has a bad attitude and is difficult to get along with, much of that based on his initial experience with Trent Dilfer:

I watched some of the videos (haven't had time to watch them all) that xxedge72x included in the Cimini thread, especially to see if Rosen looks gunshy, and see how much he gets hit. He's definitely not gunshy, and he does take hits trying to hold onto the ball as long as he can to try and make a play. What I did see was that he's more mobile than I thought, even though he doesn't run a lot, he CAN maneuver in and around the pocket really well and evade tacklers. Some of his sacks he actually dodged several tacklers and held onto the ball trying to make that throw and then finally was brought down - he's going to have to learn when to cut his losses, but I think he will. The other thing I saw was that his throws really are refined, and he has a very quick release. Again, several times he waited until a guy was right in his face I thought "There he goes, down!" and yet he got the pass off an instant before the hit. His release reminds me of Namath's.

I'm still on the Rosen Train.

I don't want a "yes-man" on the Jets (To an extent Darnold). I don't want a "RAH RAH" guy on the Jets (Mayfield).

Give me Rosen. The intellectual that will get this team on the right path. We haven't had a pro-bowl offensive player in years. I think Bates and McCown would be very good for Rosen. Audibles, making plays, making those around him better, being the system. To me that is Rosen.

I also hate the millennial term here, yeah he wants to know why because some coaches like Hue Jackson completely screw up a players development. You don't think players see these things? Also, I think Jim Mora is an overrated head coach, and he probably disagreed / argued with him on a topic.

One of the reasons many are against Rosen is his supposed attitude - questioning his coaches - THAT'S EXACTLY what this team needs! They need a guy who can come off the field and say "I think we need to change this, or change that", and have the talent to back up what he says. I sure hope he's there at #3!

Exactly. That's what great QBs do.

Such a bad quote from Mora. What the hell does he think coaches do? I'm flabbergasted.

Why the hell wouldn't you want your QB to understand "why" you're running a set play? How else can you prepare him to anticipate the defense's potential reactions? That understanding builds intutition, and allows for quicker decisions and improvision.

If the Jets FO/CS is afraid of explaining the theory behind the offensive scheme to their players, they should be fired.

This is good for the Jets IMO ... I hope the Giants are turned off by this completely. Some teams just want yes men

Somebody posted either in this thread or another Rosen thread that the Johnsons may not want him, he might be right. I just read this in an article about him.

"There are three incidents that follow Rosen. The Bleacher Report interview is just the latest. As a freshman, he put a hot tub in his dorm room. Last year, he posted a photo of himself wearing a hat that read “F–k Trump” while playing on a Trump golf course."
