I know it's always fashionable to bash the Jets, but it's getting tiring to hear the media constantly berate the Jets for trading all of that to only get to #3. Without a doubt, #1 or #2 would've required our 2019 1st, which could be very high again. I don't blame Mac for not wanting to give it up. Additionally, I've seen more than 1 list that has this year's class ranked by pre-draft grades along with recent drafted QBs. As an example, Jeremiah ranks them: 1) Darnold 2) Wentz 3) Rosen 4) Goff 5) Mayfield 6) Allen 7) Watson 8) Trubisky 9) Kizer 10) Lynch http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...ects-of-past-3-nfl-draft-classes-darnold-no-1 So if you average the last 3 drafts, even at #3, you're landing QB1 (Darnold/Rosen) or at worst QB2 (Mayfield/Allen), without giving up a future 1st. I think Rosen is our guy, and there may be a 50/50 chance he gets to 3. If he gets there, I'd expect them to be dancing in Florham Park. If Darnold & Rosen are gone, they'll grab Allen or Mayfield & still be excited about the future.

I hate the trade because it can go so bad as to affect the franchise for years. We'll be lucky to get a FQB out of this regardless of who we pick. We had the chance to get a FQB at 6 without mortgaging the future--less of a chance, true--but with a lot less risk.

Pretty much everything you hear is a smokescreen or much ado about nothing. However, Bowles saying "there's at least 6-7 guys we like" just wreaks of stupidity, even if it's a bluff. lol
He'd be a fool if he didn't carefully scrutinize all of the three qb's who could potentially fall to us at the 3 spot.
Guys, let’s be realistic here—if this is the QB that finally leads us to the promised land I’d settle for his TD celebrations being picking his nose quietly while we run up the score in victory after victory. It won’t be pretty to watch, but it still isn’t as ugly as losing or watching the fucking Patriots dominate our division and walk into AFCCGs and SBs.
