Last night our preview game was on and Bret Farve made some really good throws, but again he also made some terrible throws under pressure and trying to force it in when they needed it at the end. This is good news for the jets we can take advantage of his young receiver?s. The run blocking was not that good and the pack look like the jets defense from 4 games ago. We need another strong victory to bolster their confidence, we play the bill on 12-10 and I just know that?s going to be an epic battle.
Yes, he can do amazing things and then he does something not amazing; throwing into quadruple coverage.
I would think one of the best ways to beat Favre is to get ahead by a couple of scores and make them play catchup. The guy might have 32 come from behind wins, but he has a significant tendency to throw away a lot of balls when trying to play hero.
If Favre ever started throwing check down passes instead of airing every ball out, he'd be dangerous. Glad we're getting them on a short week and after a demoralizing loss. I think Favre will have a terrible game next week.
I think its great that GB lost, their season is basically over. I wouldnt have wanted to face a 5-6 green bay, because a win over the jets would get them into the playoff race. At 4-7 they are basically done.
I thought it said "Favre is amazing and hot." I thought this thread concerned the sexuality of one J.P. Losman. Whoops! -X-
Brett Farve is one of the Greatest QBs to ever play the game. He is a multiple Time MVP and also has put great stats with young and unproven receivers each year!
Maybe even 3 times, if we jump ahead early. Our secondary has been pretty good about catching INTs, and with Favre as the opponent we should have a field day. I'm expecting us to be 7-5 after Sunday. When you get to 8-5 you can seriously start considering a playoff birth.
Farve's biggest problem is that he's not as young as he used to be but thinks he can still do the same things he did in days gone by. We'll beat him with pressure and We'll force him into mistakes. Live by the strong arm, Die by the strong arm...
See, I have a hard time believing this. I think Favre has lost very little as he has gotten older. The guy still is a cowboy, and he's still got a cannon of an arm. What he doesn't have is a better supporting cast, and a defense that can bail him out of his mistakes. The best way to beat him is to bring the cowboy in him out. I think you do that by going up by a couple of scores early.
