Lets face it, the jets offense for decades has been pretty anemic at best, We had a couple good years like vinny in 1998 and the 1st half of the season with favre at QB before he broke down, but for the most part, watching the offense has been brutal. well with a few right moves this is what the jets offense could look like

    WR1 Robinson, enunwa, Hansen, stuart
WR2 Anderson, kearse, Austin (special teams)
    RB Barkley, Powell, Maguire
TE ASJ or burton, Legget, tomlinson
    QB Cousins, Bridgewater, Hack

we can also improve o-line with draft and free agents as well. this is a good draft for Centers and guards but a little thin on tackles.

With WR depth like that (4 guys capable of 1k yards) One of the best RB prospects to come out of the draft, cousins at QB and an improved o-line for the first time in a long time, the jets could have an exciting offense to watch

Only way we land Barkley is if we trade to 1. Never happening.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. RB hasn't gone 1 overall since 1995. Browns need the QB more, if they don't go QB at 1. NYG and IND could potentially trade their picks to teams who need a QB. Then Browns at 4 get stuck with a QB they might not even want.

I wonder if Mac will make a run at Andrew Norwell.

Ok, so swap out Barkley for Bradley Chubb in the first and add Michel in the 2nd or penny in the 3rd and we are still explosive plus added an edge rusher.

I really don't want chubb. I don't think he fits our scheme. He's more of a 4-3 DE and I don't see him transitioning to OLB well in the NFL in our 3-4. I'd rather grab key in the 2nd round, I think he fits the 3-4 OLB role better and is less risk being a 2nd rounder then a 6th overall pick. I think chubb will be a great player in this league, but only if he goes to a 4-3 defense to play DE

never say never. sometimes player slip. williams was supposed to go top 3 and fell to 6 to us. same goes for adams. out of the top 5 teams they could opt for help elsewhere like nelson, QBs, fitzpatrick etc. it's possible for barkely to fall to 6. players fall every single year it's just a matter of who

"Our offense sucked last year, but imagine if we put this unstoppable lineup together!?"

I appreciate the enthusiasm and imagination -- there's nothing wrong with it -- but please be advised that this exact thread appears every single year on this board.

I am not in favor of paying Cousins over 90 million for 3 years and then add Bridgewater's 7-8M. Also, why would Bridgewater come to the Jets to be a backup, when you know he will want to start? IF you could get Cousins for 25M per for 3 years that would be better, but the Vikings supposedly have a 91M for 3 years offer out. The Jets would have to top that number, which is crazy stupid IMO.

nobody is going to take a big chance on teddy B. but he's still young and having a solid back-up is important. we don't need bridgewater by any means but god forbid cousins blew out a knee week 1 do you want a rookie or hack out there?

I know it does, but seriously it's been mostly silence and the same pro/con cousins chatter. we needed something else even if it's extremely far fetched which i'm aware of

God. That would be a Jets scenario, right? Sign Cousins long term only to have his knee blow out on the first play. If that was the case, I'd say fuck this and start the Sackenbum.

It's not that I'd want to watch the 2017 Jets Part Deux, it's just that I'd have no more fucks left to give. Holy shit, that made me sad.

Don't want Barkley in the top 6, NO Thx.... If we're picking top 6 it Must be for a QB... sans Allen & Jackson... Anything else Must be a tade down.

Appreciate your enthusiasm. Barkley is not dropping down to #6. Don’t see Jets signing both starting QBs either. The Jets MUST grab a QB with one of their first 3 picks. But I do agree that the Jets could however significantly improve their offense with the right FA acquisitions and draft picks.

With Blowes as HC and Kirk Cousins at QB? My money says 1-15.
