You also have to consider that the Vikings team is STACKED outside of the QB position, while the Redskins were not that good outside of a couple players. Cousins would tear it up on that team.

    Two can play this game:

We must not trade up for Josh Rosen or Sam Darnold for multiple first rounders. They are not worth their talent. They are probably around a second round pick because they are available! If Kirk Cousins is looking for 30 million a year then go pay him! He is the best free agent quarterback!

Lol. Redskins don't want pay Kirt Cousins for 30 millions because they got trade Alex Smith had better records for wins games and playoff more than Cousins. Lol. Rose and Darnold are rookie and they are very important for talent be like Wentz and Goff when they got wins games and playoff. See?! Make sense!

They have to cut more than Talib, weakening the team. A team that already falling, making it less attractive.

Same with AZ. It's not about just squeezing Cousins in at a discounted rate, it's about top dollar the Jets will offer PLUS being able to continue signing players to fill needs around him. Not one of those 2 can offer the same

    That makes no sense whatsoever.

You do know that Cousins record vs. winning teams is 4-19? That's not a guy I would give 100 M to. I would prefer they try and sign maybe Case Keenum, and draft a QB in round one. Gives the Jets a viable option for now, and hopefully your franchise QB within a few years. Also, this would leave the Jets with much more cap space (and ability to sign more/better free agents) as Keenum is not getting anywhere near what Cousins will demand

Derek Carr has a 4-17 record against winning teams. Would you sign him to 100M?

Wins aren't a QB stat. Unless you are talking about Brady.

Also, his record is 4-17 against playoff teams, not winning teams.

The Raiders for the most part under Carr have underachieved. Look at the one good year.

Name all of the great wins under Carr. Not many TBH.

The only 2 active QBs with a winning record vs winning teams are Brady and Wilson.
It takes alot more than a QB to win in this league.
Wilson would not be where he is with having had that D.
How a QB performed vs those above 500 teams is what needs to be evaluated.

If the guy says he wants to "win now"he will be sorely disappointed with the Jets...2 or 3 years away from contending

The Jets have $ ...that's where it ends

If the price is right, yes. This year's QB class is better than the past few drafts, but I don't see anyone who is a "must have". McCown has maybe one more year in him, and we need a long term solution at QB. While I don't think Cousins will turn out to do for the Jets what Manning did for the Broncos, or what Montana did for the Chiefs, he could, with the right surrounding cast and coaching staff, potentially make us contenders at least once or twice.

Yeah, So?! Carr was developed his passer and improved his team for wins games. Cousins is developing? I am answer is nope because he is suck and bad records the win/loss games. Carr was better the quartback and good passers than Cousins. I think, Marshawn Lynch was mess up for the Raiders but it is my opinion. So Raiders got new Head Coach is Jon Gruden.

I'm not saying don't spend the money, I just think it could be spent more usefully. How is Cousins going to perform behind an average O-line?

People are bringing up facts about Cousins like everybody thinks he's the perfect QB. He's not. He's the best available FA QB this league has since since 2004 Drew Brees, and even he had injury concerns. This is more certain than drafting a QB, which our FO nor GM can seemingly do correctly.

Hopefully the same way he performed behind Washington shit O Line. Washington has more talent on the O line but injures and suspensions caused their C,LG and LT to miss multiple games the past 2 years. Hopefully the O line will be addressed by Mac this off season, regardless of who is the starting QB.

Denver preparing to go “all in” on Cousins. Like I said the Jets are just a pawn for Kirks agent to drive the price up on Denver....

You realize you could swap the teams here and it would be just as true?
