Yes I believe that. God hates us and will never allow it. I've seen a Cubs World Series before I've seen a Jets Super Bowl. Let that sink in
Brady has 6 more years left, belly probably has 30 more years so anytime after that we should be good
What's really depressing is this: The Giants sucked this year and "won" the 2nd pick. The Broncos sucked this year and "won" the 5th pick. Now, given these two teams record over the years, does anyone believe that they won't be back in the hunt in a year to two at most? Meanwhile, the Jets sucked this year (AGAIN!) and "won" the 6th pick - draft purgatory. But does anyone believe they'll be in the hunt in a year or two? Sure, it's possible, but how many of us held onto that hope for decades, only to be disappointed. I don't believe in bad luck, or being "cursed". What the Jets are is incompetent because their owners have been incompetent. Until that changes, no, I don't think they'll make it to another SB.
Don't think that way. I know things look bleak, but just a few years ago the eagles were a laughing stock, with Chip Kelly running a college system. The NFL has a ton of parity and I think that any given year a team can go all the way. A lot of it has to do with coaching and QB, but a team has to get a ton of breaks as well. Think of it this way, if the Jets manage to get a QB (Cousins or a draft QB) and we sure up some holes through the draft and free agency, the Jets could be a 5th or 6th seed next season and if things break right we can go all the way. Losing year after year isn't easy, nor does it help peoples outlook on things, but one day we will win, and when we do it'll be the sweetest thing ever.
I try not to be depressed, but frankly when I look back over the Jets history up until now, it's hard not to be. Sure, with a few upgrades, especially at QB< the Jets CAN become a playoff team, but it's going to take a lot more than that to become a SB team. But you mention the Eagles, yes they were in bad shape not too long ago, but I don't think anyone thought they were laughingstocks,,,they simply saw them as in a down cycle, but most people knew they would get back up, like the Giants, and the Broncos, and the Cowboys, and the Packers...but not the Jets. We are the definition of a losing franchise. We've had some short spikes of success, but they were always short lived and followed by dreck. Until proven otherwise, this is what they are.
I agree that we've had an overall bad outlook for the team. Some teams go through down cycles and emerge, others can't figure it out. Unfortunately, it goes both ways. Losing is contagious, so is winning. What the jets need to do is build the team the right way and have a direction. Jets got off the path to building when Rex was on board and the subsequent moves in coaches/GM's has not helped entirely. I think we're better off now than we were say 3-4 years ago, but we have a ways to go. This is a paramount offseason for the future success of this team. 100 mil in cap space and a ton of draft capital. If you make the right decisions you can turn a franchise around quick. Let's all hope that Macc knows what he's doing in the draft and through free agency.
The Eagles have really smart people like Howie Roseman running the show. Jets have amatuers like Mike McCagnan and Toilet
We’ve been beaten and battered our whole lives by this franchise yet we’re still here If it were possible we all would have been long gone years ago Lets face it we’re all here for life..with or without another Super Bowl
