If we finished tied and the winner got the playoff spot wouldn't the Broncos get in due to the H2H win?

I'm also in the Josh Allen camp. That's the guy I hope we get.

And Lamar Jackson is the one that makes me most nervous. Maybe he does great but I just see that one blowing up in our face if we go that route. He'll end up on the list with Gholston, Pryor, Hack, Hill, Coples etc.

Allen is the one that makes me the most nervous. The history of the NFL Draft is littered with QBs who "had all the tools" or "can make all the throws", but couldn't read a defense. Ryan Leaf, Byron Leftwich, Jay Cutler, JaMarcus Russell, Jake Locker, Ryan Mallett, EJ Manuel, Christian Hackenberg, etc. There's one every year. And sometimes they pan out (Elway, Testeverde, Jeff George, Favre, Stafford, Flacco, Daunte Culpepper). Last year it was Mahomes (the jury is out).

Yeah but Mahomes won and completed a lot of passes, and so far looks like that wasn't due to his "system" or the conference he played in. I share your concern about Allen though, and I don't think he's a guy the Jets can afford to roll the dice on unless Macc displays a previously unknown knack for identifying QB talent.

He had a bad year. Nobody is talking about the big QB from Washington St. Falk. I would stay away from Jackson and Allen. I would trade down not far and take Rudolph. Try something different for once.

Yeah the scouting combine is when things get crazy. Like a Vernon Gholston and Manziel working out in pads and a helmet. Teams over analyze and under analyze prospects. But then again when teams only have tape to watch on someone you wind up with a Hackenberg. I have no doubt whatsoever the Jets will royally mess this up.

You say that but Alvin Kamara had an amazing combine. That was a big reason I was pounding the table for us to move up to get him in round three instead of what we actually did. On the flip side Graham Harrell had an outstanding college career (thanks to Crabtree) and looked horrible in the senior bowl and even worse at the combine. You don't see Harrell on an NFL roster for a reason.

there are rumors the browns new GM likes Josh Allen a lot. If the Browns take him with the 1st pick. The Jets better call the Colts and do whatever it takes to move up to the 3 spot. Then you get Darnold or Rosen, whoever the Giants leave out of that choice, probably Darnold and that would be a coup for this organization

Have you seen my avatar? I'm sure everyone on this board can tell you who is the QB I want the jets to draft.

I have been beating that drum from day one, with regards to Falk.

The complete package with one exception, he's criticized for not being able to throw 70 yard bombs.

Goff can't throw 70 yard bombs either and he seems to be doing very well.

I’d take either of the 4 assuming Darnold and Rosen enter. Right now I’d rank them

    1.Darnold
    2. Mayfield
    3.Rosen
    4.Allen

We’ll see if that changes further along in the draft process. Excited for senior bowl week and reports of Allen an Mayfield.

The strategy SHOULD be to sign a quality vet and draft Rudolph. What would be awesome is to sign a good vet, have Barkley available at #6 and trade up to get Rudolph. Then go edge rusher, corner and O line

The Browns can have Allen at 4, which if is the case they should trade out of the one spot. That’s a more likely option than the Colts trading out. They need to get Luck help.

wow I didn't think about that and what you suggest is probably the smarter move but if they trade out of the 1, they risk losing Allen. I think that place would burn down if they trade out again and miss out on their quarterback again. fearing that fallout might be enough alone to make them stay put

Looks like the race is on between DEN and CLE for Josh Allen. Allen is Elway's type of QB. I think there is a chance Rosen falls, you still got Jackson, and Mayfield available. I hope Darnold comes out too. None of these guys have anything to gain by staying in school.

Let's say he honestly believes Wentz is the better qb, would he say so?

The ones that you just mention from Ryan leaf to JaMarcus Russell and Jay Cutler all had terrible attitudes that not what I’m hearing about J Allen I’m hearing about good kid and great work ethic but let’s wait for the Scouting combine
