You can't really call pass plays with confidence when your quarterback can't complete a simple 5 yard pass without pegging someone on the sidelines.

Is that a product of coaching or talent? Either way you should have figured that out Game 1. MoProblems you can be a Bowles homer but come on man stop making excuses for this guy. Its year 3 from a guy who played the game, was an assistant in the game and currently in charge of a football team.

One day the "omg ur a homer" crowd is going to learn to read and we are all going to benefit from it.

No luckily, probably wouldn't be happy that I've been saying the last two days I doubt him as a head coach. But ya know, I'm a homer and all right?

Oh wow 3 more points. They might not win or score alot but they sure play hard for Bowles and they really like him. Glad we have this stability.

Don’t even bother with him. The sooner you put him on ignore, the better..

And Kicking a FG down 21 late in the game is good coaching? Bowles is clueless.

When a player misses a block or drops a pass remember that the coach has no control. Game plan sure but the players decide the outcome. And since it's the NFL the officials. None of us have the experience to evaluate in game decisions.

Is Teddy Bridgewater worth a look? He is 25 and a free agent.

Funny how the talk is about playing hard. Millionaire athletes needing some motivation to play hard is a joke. They should act professional and play hard every game.

That being said the extension of Bowles is a joke and a slap in the face. I watch the games alot on the NFL package and since they dont cut to commercials sometimes they just have a static shot of Bowles. He just stands there in-between a stop in play. I do mean just stand there he has no discussions with other coaches or players. He doesnt even talk into his mic with coordinators. I think this is a huge in game problem. I have zero faith in him as coach that he can game plan or outsmart any other coach in the league.

I want a smart football mind in the to be the next head coach of the Jets. Period.

No. He's coming off a major injury and wasn't all that good before it.

Hey you've figured it out! Turns out I'm NOT a homer like multiple people have said I am because they are butthurt over the Bowles extension/Petty being terrible.

After this debacle of a Jets Pats game ..no one on the TGG would have stones to support the Extention...its a heinous thing the FO/Owner did to the fans

Did the shot show him sucking a straw thru a lemonade cup? Should be on instant replay.

You may be right but it's all academic - you and every suffering Jets fan will have to live with Bowles for at least one more year. Better to expend your energy on how the Jets holes can be fixed on this team, because there are some big ones.

No it was bad but it wasnt that bad. I just couldn't understand with all the moving pieces during a game you wouldn't have anything to talk about with a break in play. I think it was telling of the Jets in game adjustments or lack of them. It wasnt just once either its almost every time just him standing there.

Absolutely no surprise here. Johnson signed off on a rebuilding plan when the Jets dumped their veterans and big contracts this last off season. It was clear they were going all in an a rebuild at that point. The fact the Jets won as much as they did after dumping so much 'talent' says a lot about the staff really.

Good, we need stability for a few years..you never get anywhere if you constantly change the captain and thus the destination.
