We're the Jets.. Fate could not create a more fitting scenario. Only the Jets could accomplish losing by winning.

No chance the jets win a league run coin flip.

If we would have started Petty from the beginning we would be looking at the first pick by now. Messing around with McCown got us exactly nowhere.

I believe that point has been made Booze...We begged them to start Petty this year and keep McCown on the bench but noooo, we had to win 5 games although Chris Johnson already told Bowles he was gonna be extended with the bullshit criteria he put out as a "measuring stick".

5 f'n wins! I hope the homers are happy.

The horrible thought is, if we hadn't blown the 4th quarter in what 4 or 5 games we would have been play off bound with this incomplete team, yes it bodes well for the future or maybe it shows how many other bad teams there are and the Browns showing everybody how to keep on tanking for the draft, one day they are going to get it right, one day lol

I like what the Jets players are saying. Its not about being competitive its about getting some wins. Being close and playing hard counts for nothing. Maybe that is a slight jab at Bowles. But he's too stupid to realize it. So if what you're saying Cman we got another year of this. Just great New Years is a week away and already 2018 is trashed...football speaking.

It’s not homerism, it realism. It’s the understanding that they were never going to tank.

I resent that comment. I've been a homer for over 40+ years and I am MISERABLE and have been for over 40 years.:mad::(:eek::rolleyes:o_O

Yep. It also the understanding that they weren't ever interested in using a high DP for a FQB. I guess they're gonna depend on Macc's acute drafting skills to find a Qb in the later rounds just like Hack and Petty. Perhaps they realize that they suck at developing Qb's and decided not to draft anymore Qb projects.

Take my advice oldtimer and disengage. Put a little space between you and the Jets and you'll see your misery start to lessen. :)

Based on the title of this post; we all know that Petty isn't the answer. Start Hack for the last game and see if he can survive the Pats defense. That should give us some kind of clue as to what to expect from him. IMHO it's time to dump both QB's and start over. There are some prospective "good" QB's in the draft after the first two are gone. My problem is that when (if) we get one, our CS doesn't know how to develop his skills. That's the problem with Head Coaches who are Defensive. It's also time to get a new HC with offensive talent. I'm not sure if Morton can fill the bill, but it may be worth a try. There will also be a few free agents QB's available.
