They may very well go with Baker. Even if Macc is in love with Allen, it doesn't mean he won't like another QB even more. It's going to be hard to justify picking Allen over Mayfield, especially given the seasons they are having.
Allen has the potential to be a very, very good - if not excellent QB in the NFL. The OL he's playing behind is not helping him out enough to keep his feet planted. The Iowa game was a good example. Put him behind a very good line and this kid can make the throws. He has all the tools. He falls to the Jets, they will grab him.
If anyone is interested, he is returning and starting I believe tomorrow in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl vs Central Michigan.
Take this kid ONLY IF MAC SCREWS UP ENTIRELY eg NO landing any one of the Big 3 Nothing special bout Josh Allen but hes not another Petty ...hes having a great game here imo

Really helped his draft stock in the Potato Bowl (i just wanted to say Potato Bowl again lol)... Man does he look the part of NFL QB tho. Huge guy. Crazy arm strength and throws so well on the move. Coaches and teammates absolutely love him. Lots of positives. Accuracy this season is the big red flag. I hope he plays in the Senior Bowl and shows well there, especially showing he can be accurate with a good supporting cast. If he does, I might be willing to take a shot on him. He's got the most upside in the draft imo.
I still feel I need to see more consistency from Allen. The Senior Bowl will be huge for him. Mac probably got a boner watching the game. Elway was present at the game BTW
So the comparisons to Wentz will be running rampant here, mostly because his coach was Wentz's back when he was at NDSt. This will all come down to if you believe Allen is the man, put him in an offense that suits his needs...now would that be an offense that the Eagles are currently running? That remains to be seen. Allen has the arm talent as Wentz and athleticism. Wentz has been able to show he can improvise very well and that's something Allen needs to do as well. His escapability will be key, especially as he works through his accuracy issues.

I liked Allen from the first game he played this year. He has all the tools - and those here that claim he's another Petty wouldn't know if a football hit them on the nose. If you look at his potential and his size/arm strength , he IS part of the big 3. Jets will have to find a way to get this kid, but it won't be easy because games like this will only raise more eyebrows.
