Chad has no reliable running attack to take the pressure off of him - that's a given fact. Now, given the fact that he has no running support, he still performs the way he does - see how many in the entire NFL can do that. I would like to guess that he will get much better with reliable running attack supporting him - then he doesn't have to make everything happen, so to speak.

    Yes,

he gives us the best chance to win. If we drop out of contention then I'd like to see Clemens get some PT.

He has no run attack because teams all stack 8 in the box and just play the run, and Chad can't beat them. It's been that way for years now. If anything, the RBs have no reliable pass attack.

No reliable running attack? As of late, our rushing game has been great. And with houston back to split the carries with leon, the running game will shine.

when are fans going to start axing us to "lose" games for higher draft picks? might as well if you want to start KC.

we are in the playoff hunt. KC cannot beat CP out of his job. CP gives us the best chance to win. end of story.

what if KC can't beat CP out of his job next year. guess what, KC won't be starting.

agree, if we're out of contention, see what the rook can do.

What makes you so sure that it's even a fair competition, or that it would even matter? If QBs that eventually start were better than the people they replace each time, why didn't Rivers, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Marc Bulger, Jason Campbell, Tony Romo, Tom Brady and even Chad Pennington himself all start sooner than they did? It's partly because practice is nothing like game situations, and partly because coaches generally don't care how the guys do in practice. It's obvious that in all these situations these players did better than their counterparts (except Eli Manning, which makes the debate even dumber), and they obviously give their teams a better chance to win. So why can't Clemens be given a shot? Were the Cowboys not in playoff contention? They were in a better spot than we are, I can tell you that much. The Giants were in about the same spot we are now. Rivers, Campbell and Romo I don't think any of them were true rookies, but none had taken snaps before so nobody knew what to expect out of them. Why does Chad get so much protection?

I've said I'd rather have Chad finish out the season, but he should have been replaced 2 weeks ago, during the Bye. At this point I say let him finish out the season, but none of this giving him a chance to win the job next year. Clemens hasn't gotten a shot in real games yet, while Chad has, and Chad has shown he just isn't that good. Let's see what Clemens can do now.

Reverse that. The team is playing with what it has to work with ( cp).

You would rather go 0-6 with Clemens?

If Clemens comes in and goes 0-6 I would have a pretty bad feeling about him.

I have read a ton of bad mouthed hatred towards Penny on these boards. It is really shocking that there is only 19 NO's on that poll, with all things considered. I am a Penny fan, so of course I voted yes. Just saying...

Poll is closed but I would have voted yes. Chad is still our best QB, and should remain the starter. I'm actually confident that he'll have a solid December. My concern with him is, when is he finally going to stand up to the top defenses in the league? He beat the Patriots, but he hardly had a good game. Plus, he needs to do it consistently. I'm tired of saying "well it's okay, they're better than us anyway". At some point, we need to be better than "them" or else we'll always be that 10-6 team that gets bounced out of the second round of the playoffs every year. I'm not talking about this year, because the playoffs are not a make or break for me. I'm talking about the future. I know there's more to it than just Chad, but he's been a big part of it. I'm just waiting for him to take that next step.

:shit:that's the question, but as we've already seen , the head coach holds every starting member of the team accountable ,except for one....:eek:hmy:

you cant blame cp at all. we just played a brutal game with the patriots, known for their physical style of play, and playing the bears also known for their toughnous style of play. just because i said cp works with what he has does not mean that what we have is bad at all. i think if we play all 4 qtrs and beat teams like the patriots and bears back to back, then i guess you would jump back on the cp wagon again!
