and so far, that seems to be a blind spot for Macc just like it was for Rex. I hope he has advisers with him on these fact finding missions he's taking to find a FQB.

That is why Macc needs to go away too. We've seen his non 1st round pick and it hasn't worked out. You would think he would try something different like Watson.

the gm and hc of the bills seem to be a lot more forward thinking than our clueless pair. benching taylor for a 5th round rookie, while stating that 5-4 is not good enough, is something we won't hear from our team.

So true. We're really good until our 9th loss. I just don't get how we keep a 38 year old in at the most important position. Petty should be playing. Now, I could see if it was a great QB - but it's a QB that has NEVER won anything. Give the kids a chance. Also, every win from here on out will make us pay more for a QB next year in the draft. Why pay that price unless the wins are coming with a developing young QB. It is so bad for the future of this franchise unless we can grab one of the top QBs in the draft. I cannot see us winning more than 6 games. If we had a chance for the playoffs, fine. But we never realistically had the talent for that this year.

He whiffed on two QBs, but three drafts isn't enough of a body of work to say that he sucks at picking a QB. The majority of GMs whiff at finding a franchise QB.

Since 2005, the Packers have whiffed on QBs after drafting one of the greatest of all time. Ingle Martin, Matt Flynn, Brian Brohm (2nd Round), B.J. Coleman, and Brett Hundley. It's hard to find a franchise QB. If Macc whiffs again in 2018, I'll jump on the Macc must go train.

Just because MCC whiffed on a FQB does not mean he gets a pass like all the other dummy GMs that passed on a FQB

I don't consider it "whiffing" when considering QB's drafted in rounds 2-7. We all know QB is the most difficult position to predict success at. A "whiff", IMO, is a QB taken in the 1st round that doesn't work out because of the value of the pick and the money invested in the player.

Looking forward to seeing what Teddy can do in green. If Mac locks him up quickly, which he should, it’ll let him spend a few more picks rebuilding that line.

That would be nice, if Teddy has the desire and no side effects.

I say if need be the Jets should cut loose two of our current QBs and possible draft two QBs in 2018. Now you might think I'm crazy, and maybe I am, but some teams have done it in the past. A QB pick is still a shot in the dark and more 1st round QBs fail than succeed. Draft a QB in the 1st round and one in the 5-6 round. I wouldn't mind Mayfield in the mid 1st round, and Nic Shimonek in the 5th round.

I disagree. You can make this argument in rounds 4-7 but 2nd rounders are supposed to be good

In 1965, the year the Jets drafted one Joe Willie Namath, they also drafted QBs John Huarte (2nd rd.), Bob Schweikert (4th rd.) and Archie Roberts (7th rd.).
