This lets you know how much the Pats thought about Garappolo. If he was the heir apparent to Brady, he wouldn't have ever been traded.

Well he's a FA after the year I believe...so they're not gonna franchise him if Brady has a few years left.

aaah, okay. I just saw that 49ers released Hoyer afer finalizing deal. I'd rather have Jimmy G. as b/u than Hoyer but its better to get something for him other than a 2019 compensatory pick if he leaves as a FA. Still an odd move, I think another team offered 2 picks for Jmmy G over the summer and now all they get is 1 2nd. Just goes to show that Pats are as dumb as other teams, they just got lucky plugging in Brady when Bledsoe when down courtesy of the Jets.

That would be a typical Jets move sabotaging the franchise.

Because it involves a potential franchise qb, we have none. It also creates an opportunity for a team to trade up

A 1 and 2 for Cousins is a homerun for us. No sure thing that whoever we take in round 1 will be better than him. We most likely would have to trade up as well.

Mac should be fired on principle if he made such a trade. Cousins isn't worth a 1st, let alone a 1st and a 2nd. Cousins will be 30 by the start of next season. How many years does he have before he starts declining? I want a draft pick that can last 10-15 years. We don't need to trade away our entire future for an old man.

This shows to me that John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan are not impressed with the QB's coming out this year. But assuming this is a failed analysis, Jets may be in play for a top QB. 49ers will surely win more games now with more confidence. We have to worry about the colts, the browns, giants. I'm hoping Giants come back rejuvenated and fired up after the bye and win too many games. Browns will probably go 0-16 so I have no doubt they'll pick first. Jets need to key in on 2 QB's (Cousins and Rosen). If they nab one of them, and put the necessary talent in place through FA and the draft, we can be much better in 2018.

Jets can’t afford to move up to where San Fran will be picking.

Now the Pats don't have a backup QB. Imagine Belichick signs Kaepernick. So many heads would explode.

Hoyer will easily be going to pats. Imagine Brady receives a season ending injury.....trading Brisset and Garopolo would be an absolute catastrophe in that situation.

The best QB signing for the Jets.

Let this idiocy rest in peace for crying out loud.

Which is true of every player on 31 teams in the NFL - that's why there is an NFL section for non-Jets related discussion.
