relax, homeboy, it was a joke. (i really have no problem with Mangini's aggressiveness in call for the onside attempt, case closed)
It's week 11... A long time has passed... This "let's sign their preseason cut to get their gameplan" stuff is so overrated.
I don't buy into the McClover thing a whole lot. But definately Harris noticing Rhodes lining up on the left side was the catch.
He wasn't signed this week, he signed w/ them after we cut him but he still knows what we do for the most part and he alerted his teammates.
Actually I thought the difference was 10. I could be wrong, but that's what all the sports sites are reporting.
I was at the game and I did not record it but didn't Nugent tee the ball up on the left hash mark..He and all right footed kickers set it up on the right hash. If I'm correct..and I'm pretty sure I am..., that was a tell tale sign that something was up. And I have no problem with the call.
I know he wasn't, which is even a stronger argument against this BS "he knew what was coming" stuff. This is what REALLY happened (my hypothosis anyway). 1) The Jets are known for doing wacky things, so teams are now always on alert. 2) We decided to give this a go, but the Bears, since they practiced all week to be ALWAYS ON ALERT, were ready 3) They executed better than us on the play 4) THEN THEY NOTICED #25 and guys lined up on opposite sides. NOT BEFORE, after.
