I’d be fine with making the green a bit brighter, but I’m with you. The uniforms are the one consistently good thing about the Jets. They’re timeless in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like the classic uniforms...penn State...jets...alabama...colts...the browns. The survive the tests of time. Color updates from time to time have been great for the Jets...but a full blown redesign...i hope not.
I like the current forest green shade. If I were to change anything, I would change the oval logo to the original football shape. The other idea I had was changing this secondary logo to their primary logo http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/view/944/New_York_Jets/2002/Alternate_Logo
These were the best uniforms we ever had. Same style, kelly green, and logo shaped like a football. Team sucked but looked good doing it.
I do like these unis, but that isn't Kelly green. That's forest green or very close to it. Kelly green is much lighter and brighter as seen below.
I dont mind the current Uniforms at all, i have a problem with the details How the color Green seems to differ on each section of the jersey, and how the sleeve strip never lines up with the shoulder. Minor details/
I actually love the main green from the color rush uniforms but the dark green sections drive me nuts. if they would eliminate the darker logo and stripes i would change to that green permanently. Also get rid of the green pants. i like the green pants with white jerseys but the risk of all green isn't worth it. I wonder if Woody realizes how much merch he would sell if he switched greens? I am sure i am not the only one who would go on a spree of new hats, t shirts and at least one jersey. On another note, What do people think of the below helmet? Use this as a "secondary" logo and keep the current main one on the jersey. A sort of amalgamation of the teams history with the swich to the classic green. I would keep double stripes, not the single like in the picture.
I do prefer this logo on the helmet at least - it represents the fast/sleek image I think the team should go for. But I do prefer the Kellly green, using white pants with kelly green stripes.
Details are important. As the old saying goes, "The devil is in the details." Even "minor" details add up and can detract or ruin the overall affect of something.
