Really tough play there. Could've been close to forward progress. Bet that guy wishes he just went down.

Wouldn't USC just run a couple plays and kick the field goal on 3rd down?

It's always good to see a freshman placekicker secure himself some punani for tonight after hitting the game winning kick.

No doubt who the best quarterback in college football is. . And with all due respect, it seems that many here haven't really caught or seen much of of this guy until just recently (maybe that also explains why in hell there are 4x as many [ball-washing] posts in the TGG "Josh Rosen" thread). ;)

Josh Rosen doesn't improvise that quick-thinking, athletic jump pass Darnold pulled off with an unchecked blitzer square in his grill....a jump pass btw that was beautifully feathered over the defender.

Cold, calm, ice-water-in-his-veins, down 3 with 38 seconds to go from their own 35 yard line against an inspired Texas defense. . Another clutch, winning performance in crunch time.

    Winner.

THIS is the guy you draft.

he's not a finished product... (who is?)... but with his awareness in the pocket, his composure and his athleticism, he is going to be special

I caught the end of that game. Great finish.

As of literally today, only account this season's games, I think Rosen is the better passer.

can't wait to see this on draftbreakdown.com

Saw some of the highlights on his throws, some of those throws Rosen cannot make, I truly believe that. That boy special.

Darnold is my top choice at this point. Rosen has some traits that make him intriguing but I think Darnold is less prone to a catastrophic mistake and is a cooler customer. I'm a bit concerned that Darnold would even come here but if we can entice him out it'd be a slam dunk for this team and a great way to reboot the franchise.

If he has to be enticed to come here, I don't think he'd ever be happy or as successful as he would elsewhere. I don't think we should have to "entice" anyone to play here.

This is a hard discussion to have because we have no idea what is in the kids head. I'll avoid spinning in circles with you on this. Only reason I think it is even noteworthy is because of his timidness when the conversation was brought up to him. Again, no idea what motivated that.

Darnold is the best NFL QB prospect I've seen in decades.

If Darnold declares, which I expect, and the Jet's have the #1 pick he will be coming to NY. The paranoia of Darnold not wanting to play in NY, IMO, is a bunch of noise.

The Jet's better have that 1st pick because Darnold won't be falling to #2. Some team might trade up to #1 to leap frog the Jets if they have the #2 selection.

Finally I will be able to watch Darnold's full game. Game is at 3:30 PM on ABC. They are playin Cal. ESPN says they aren't rated. Are their defense at least good so I can judge Darnold? Rosen's game is late at 10:30 pm. Can't stay up that long so this week Darnold only for me.

Bad decision by Darnold. He's got a lot of Jameis Winston in his game.

Decision making has to be better there. Receiver wasn't open and didn't throw the receiver open either.

Just threw a pick that was destined to be bad. Corner had perfect coverage and the safety was closing. Best case there the wr is knocked out. That the throw someone who depends on his teammates to win the matchup throws. That's what scares me about qbs from talented rosters

You are right there, thought he could've threw that pass over the top, but the safety was right there.

    Not a good decision.

But I fail to see how this guy is the best qb prospect in decades, he's pretty much a Jameis Winston level prospect.

Luck still the best nfl prospect in the past decade.
