until this team commits to building around a qb not just picking one up here and there it doesn't matter where we pick. there will never be enough talent to carry a good prospect until he is ready to carry the team. he will look bad, we will call him a bust, the coach will be fired then the gm and we will rinse and repeat.
The thing is Bowles is probably sour because he thinks he should have a better team to coach, but honestly I think that even with a better team we wouldn't be playing well. Case in point, our run D was abysmal despite the talent we have there. Maybe it sucks that we don't have Harris anymore, but we wasted a first rounder on Lee (don't tell me that Bowles had no input on that pick).
If Petty and Hackenberg magically transformed into Montana and Manning, we still better be drafting a QB at #1.
This year might be the learning lesson needed. Put so much into the d it's time to get a young qb and put the cards in the table

In my best Leon Hess voice. I want to win now!! This tanking sham called a rebuild is a con job. Football is too short both in games and players career. Here we are wasting a year for some QB's. I don't see them beating anyone this year and I'm not confident in Macc drafting the best QB out of the 5 or 6 that are coming. Knowing him he will take a QB in the 2nd calling it better value. I hope someone else is making that pick and also picking the next coach. Macc ego has gotten his head swollen thinking he knows more than anyone else. How else do you explain drafting a tiny linebacker and scrub like Hackenberg.
Macc is the smartest guy in the room... Just ask Macc.. Hell, we already have a FQB. Its only gonna take another 4-5 years for him to develop.
I think our biggest threat will be the 49ers. They easily are as bad off as we are so their season perhaps is the one we should keep an eye on.
The colts would trade the pick probably to Buffalo. Bills have 2 #1`s,2 #2`s and 2 # 3`s in coming draft!
