He wasn't perfect/inconsistent, but you have to admire the mental toughness. He was flawless on the last 2 drives, just put on a clinic.
Have to like what he showed in the second half. He may be in pole position after week 1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't know about accuracy but one thing for sure he has some serious cojones. From Manhattan Beach to Manhattan.
Most impressive part wasn't the win. It was the beating he took that 1st half, but never stopped competing and never lost his composure. I'm sold and if we are lucky enough to have #1 pick and he declares, my pick is made.
Shit he can hit a dime in Coney Island from Rockaway Beach. He's accurate, his pass is catchable like cotton Candy, he's sharp: he's sees the field, he handles pressure. What's not to like? Oy vey! What a great game that was. I almost gave up on it after the 1st half too.
2 of the TDs were bad decisions/throws that should and could have been intercepted respectively. I'm not going to ignore that as I am evaluating. I'll give him credit for his toughness, perseverance and moxie. Too much moxie can lead to good or bad QB play. Today we saw the good; next week who knows. As I'm writing this and thinking about it I guess you can file my concerns under the bad decisions column rather than accuracy. I didn't see the whole game but from what I saw he was pretty accurate when he made the right reads.
I was dissapointed to see that Darnold struggled against lesser competition. Again, Rosen fighting his ass off tonight already has me convinced.
Fuck, missed the game. Guess I'll have to wait for Draftbreakdown. So everyone loves Rosen now Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
That's fair. As a final evaluation of the game he forced a few throws, and he got lucky a few times; he wasn't perfect. The TD to get to 31 pts. was an accurate pass and the DB almost made a good play, shoulda had the int., the next TD was a heave throw and he gt lucky again.. But in a desperate situation he played exceptionally and there's a lot to like. If he keeps it up he'll be a high grade prospect.
Pulling off a 34 point comeback takes just as much luck as it does skill. The most impressive part of Rosen's tape last night was that he never quit and didn't faze under the rush.
I'm starting to think we're looking at a new era. That being the era of the Gunslinger Qb. In this day and age of the rules skewed towards offense, seems your Qb has to have that trait in him. Instead of the plodding game manager, you're gonna need the Qb that will take the shot when it has to be taken.
Let us know what they say, and you're impressions. It's one game but it's gonna be interesting how this progresses moving forward with the QB's. I have to watch more now, and will check out the other guys now too.
It's such a crap shoot and easier said than done. It's a incredibly hard thing to accomplish for these guys. There's an element of luck to ever a land a guy too. Needless to say the odds for us are tough.
