Maybe he watched footage of Pryor and got inspired. ;)

Ugh. I was so enraged when we picked him. I was banging my fist on the table. Cooks or Clinton-Dix. TAKE ONE OF THEM! That Jets team needed a receiver badly.

Calvin Pryor. Made a couple of nice crushing hits in college...poor ball skills, takes poor angles. And even the hits he's famous for were going to earn him 15 yards in the NFL.

No, he's wrong. Petty was drafted in 2015. This is his 3rd season.

He gave Leggett a chance, and I think that Leggett should have caught the ball. He let the DB take it away from him.

This accurately sums up the difference between a loser's mentality and a winner's. Any wonder why the Jets are perennial losers?

If suffering through the Sanchez years taught us anything, it should be that it doesn't matter what you do on the practice field - it matters what you do on Sundays. Given our our starting offensive line

The Clowney comparisons are absurd anyway. With Enunwa down the Jets have no receivers. Clowney would be competing for the #1 receiver spot on this squad.

Are we finally ready to admit that hackenberg is awful? I mean i am all for rose colored glasses but this is worse than geno. He is worse than geno. He stinks. Its over... like the 1000s of non kool aide drinkers on this board have been telling you. This is a 2 win team tops. #youandhungry.

No they're not the same, but pre season is a totally different animal. Pat Mahomes is so far from being an NFL QB now. Just because he executed on some very well rehearsed simple plays in pre season against crap vanilla defenses does not mean he's going to be an NFL qb

I'm rooting for the kid but not overly optimistic. I do think he can be better than Geno though.

I don't think any worth while NFL QBs have ever done as bad as Hack in the preseason.

6th and 7th rounders have out performed him in preseason. He can't even throw a TD for god sake. He really sucks. I hated the pick when it happened. I tried to have faith and believe. I just don't see it happening. My gut tells me he is trash. I thought the same watching him at PSU.

You sound like you were explaining Hack from last week. He also executed a bunch of one read short tosses against a bunch of 2's and 3's.
Hack is a very long way from being a future QB, if he ever gets there at all.
Petty should be getting all of Hacks snaps. Hack would help the team more working as the practice squad QB. I'm sure all the Hack fan boys will defend this wasted 2nd round pick somehow. It should be a funny read. Maybe if we had an awesome o-line, it would allow all of our QB's plenty time to choose. We don't have that at all. This offense may set an NFL record this year. Fewest points in a season.

Ijalana played RT last year before they decided to give Shell an opportunity to play later in the season.

I understand the depth part of it, but honestly, Ijalana played better at RT than he did LT.

When will a Jets QB execute on a very well researched simple play?

There are always exceptions. I'd take Andy Reid evaluation over most.

Weeeeel ya don't need a don't need a Crystal Ball to know where Hack is going in NFL (nowhere)

Between Fitz , Mevis and now of C Hackingburg gotta be 3 of Mike Macagnans worst mistakes

Going forward even some "great" players won't pan out (Adams) and some might (Maye)

It's the stupidity of philosophy of bulking up on Defense that continually dooms us till corrected

OVERLOAD YOUR DRAFTS ON QBS and OL ....THEN YOU WILL SEE SOME CHANGES

While he did look bad last night, it made no sense that the coaching staff started the 2nd string LT, RT and C against the 1st string of a good Detroit D. How do you expect to get a good read on what he can do? When the 1st string came in 2nd qtr he still looked bad but not quite as lost.
