If you look at last years Arizona game, his absence was a huge reason why our defense looks like dog shit. Cutting him before TC gives the team more time to adjust to him not being around. The leader of the defense cannot be a 30+ year old LB who can't cover. It's the unfortunate reality of today's NFL.
hey pin dick , Jordan Jenkins, darron lee, Demario davis, and connor harris--tackling machine, are plenty capable of doing just fine out there, plenty of reliability u cock gobbler
guys going into their 2nd year will have made huge leaps from last year, u see all them playing like last year, there is no fucking way in hell that's gonna happen again, big production this year, just like most players who last in the nfl, rookie year is so-so, 2nd year is a much better player
we still lack the speed rush to compliment the interior rushers. Also, we don't have a true inside linebacker for a 4-3. ILB - DeMario SAM - Bruce Carter Weakside - Lee matchup dependant: DT 3 Tech - Williams / Mo DT 1 Tech - Mo / Leonard Williams RE - Jordan Jenkins / Sheldon / Mo LE - Sheldon / Lorenzo / Mo You can rotate the 3 big guys inside, but they definitely need more speed.
Whats up with you and talking about cocks and dicks? Listen, I don't mind having a discussion with you, but I don't want to hear about your night caps OK? BTW, all are questionable tacklers. Looking forward to seeing Connor Harris though, but a lot of unknowns.
WOW!!! I'm stunned. A year or so ago, before he signed his latest contract, I thought Harris should go. He proved me wrong with his play. Then Lee credited Harris a lot for helping to keep him on an even keel last season and for teaching him a lot. He was one of the few veterans that I thought deserved to come back this season and could help the young team with his experience and steadying presence. I just listened to the Connor Hughes Jets' Chat this morning, and in it, he said that he thought the Jets brought back Davis to add additional experience with Harris, since Lee didn't have that much experience and the rest had little or no experience. I'm not sure what to make of this. My first thought is that maybe Harris looks even slower and like his ability declined quickly this offseason. Another thought is that they really need the cap space for someone, but whom? Another thought is that they thought they were paying him too much for what he offered and either are planning to bring him back at a reduced contract, or he refused to take a pay cut. I wonder if they even asked. They didn't Mangold. Could it be that they like Connor Harris or one of their other young ILBs that much? I don't understand the timing. Did they want to get rid of him all along but wanted to wait until they were able to secure a replacement? Was the Pryor/Davis trade ongoing for a long time? Is this a signal that the Jets are tanking this year? I definitely think he deserved better than for this to leak before it happens. Nothing should have been said until it happened. The Jets need to find out who the leak is and shit can his ass. There should have been a press conference honoring him, just as there should have been for Mangold.
if the jets don't have a top 8 defense by the years end then ill fight all of u, guaranteed top 8 defense maybe top 6 , u have no idea how good this defense is gonna be this year , cant wait to see it in action, wont give up a yard, NOT A YARD SON
They are not cutting Decker, they are using him in like every social and marketing effort this offseason. Decker is a fan favorite and will be here
If the Jets are going 4-3, why in the world wouldn't they play Richardson at the 3 Tech DT spot instead of LDE? That makes no sense to me since he is more effective inside. Also, according to Connor Huges, Greene and the Jets are very high on Dylan Donohue. Evidently he has a non-stop motor, has been flying around at practice, is vocal, fiery and a leader. The Jets may have found their pass rusher at 3-4 OLB.
Wtf is wrong with you that you feel the need to attack?? Very sad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They would have to move all of them around. Yes, Sheldon would be better inside next to Williams as that's his natural position, but I don't think he will be on the team for very long. I'll have to checkout Dylan Donohue ... there will be plenty of subpackages for him in the 4 man front as well.
The tanking theory is hodge podge. I think the timing is due to a result primarily in what they have seen from Jamal Adams. Not from the X's and O's perspective but his ability to lead, and locker room presence. As all this was highly touted coming into the draft. Truthfully, who knows how much the Leonard Williams concert incident played into the FO thinking the locker room would be strong enough without Harris (based on my personal interpretation of their reasoning that is). At this point I would like to see DeMario Davis released and Erin Henderson brought back at a vet minimum.
Bowles indicated that Maccagnan approached Harris about a pay cut...they couldn't agree on that and so Harris was cut as a result
