Anyone feel like I do that the Jets should return to their Kelly green roots and move away from the darker green they've been wearing all these years?
This has been debated a lot and opinions vary. Some want a return to Kelly green, some want 80s unis... Personally, I would love to see our current unis with Kelly green rather than the awful olive drab we have now. 80s throwbacks once a year maybe.
I may be the only person who liked the colour rush unis a couple of seasons ago, just because it was great to see that bright green again!
I personally love our current uniforms. Especially our all white on white uniforms. The word 'classy' comes to mind. With that said i've been wanting to see us bring out all black uniforms highlighted by Jets green. Think Falcons (black & red). Ravens (black & purple). Bengals (black & orange). Panthers (black & baby blue). I think the Jets sporting black and green (with a little white) would be sick and bring some more energy to our uniforms.
Our white uniforms with the green trim is one of the best looks not only in football - but in all of sports imo. However, they would look even better with a return to the Kelly green color. Black? Forget about it, I think it would muddy the look to be honest, and remember, we used to have black trim on our uniforms going back to the Bruce Coslet days. Here is the final game they wore with the black trim, Parcells first year...you might cringe remembering this one:

I agree that our all whites are one of the best looks in all of football. Unfortunately we only wear it 1 or 2 times a season because of the fcking stupid green pants.
Well I know this is a cardinal sin (pun intended), but based upon this study, they might consider changing to a red uniform: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/scarlet-uniforms-linked-t/ But in all seriousness, they should go back to Kelly green and white pants.
Go back to the Parcells year 2 Hunter green set up. That was top notch, and yes it was different than what we have now.
I disagree. I think that using black in uniforms to make the team look "badder" and more threatening is hackneyed/over done. It's one thing, if black is just an accent color, but when a team's colors are red and white or green and white, it makes no sense to have black as the major color imo. IMO it's just a joke. That said, if the Jets continue to play like pussies then I think their uniforms should be mint green or pink, or perhaps both. If they're gonna play like pussies, they might as well look like that on the field. Maybe that would embarrass them enough that they'd man up and play better.
To each his own - I would argue EVERYTHING about green pants is stupid. Now - wearing green pants with green jerseys which we have been know to do is beyond stupid.
It's classic. The all white is beautiful too. The Parcells hunter green, or the kelly green, would be perfect. Once in a while I see an old timer wearing an old 'varsity' style jacket with the old kelly green and white, and it's really nice. But I agree: burn the green the pants, awful. Prolly never happen tho. The NFL is looking to attract people with new flashy stuff and those atrocious block color jobs, tradition means nothing anymore.
I like Baylor's football colors, grey and green looks sweet. And The jets should go with matte grey helmets. My opinion Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
