Blew his only chance at a fair shot. Might have had a bigger season than Fitz had with all those toys/weapons. Whether the fault was Geno's or IK will probably always be subject to interpretation. Regardless, Geno lacked leadership and it reflected in the attitude of the lockeroom. Just another mark in the "beautiful" history NYJ qb development. I think this marks the end of Geno NFL career. Clipboard holder
not sorry to see him go but I agree with the couple guys who said he never got a fair shot here. The only time he got playing time was with the worst set of receivers I have ever seen
It's the right place for him to be a backup. Very vertical offense with a couple of good receivers and the starter is known for taking his chances down the field going to them.
Lets be real guys. he's gonna hold a clipboard. eli will never get benched and hasn't missed a game in like 12 years.
Just take a look at Geno vs the Falcons on Monday night football or his games against the Dolphins That's the talent I'm talking about....He has (had) NFL starter skills and potential but he was thrown to the wolves and also didn't help himself in some ways during his development If he can mature I think he might make some noise somewhere down the line...more than I can say for most backup QBs
Smart move by Geno staying on the east coast. He would've been late to every home game playing for a team out west...
