Point out his flaws all you like. It means nothing. It's just shouting into the wind, or in your case old man yelling at cloud. The team has decided he will coach next year. Period. We all gotta make peace with that and hope he can do the job this year. And yeah, it IS whining because it accomplishes nothing. No smart Jets fan wants to hear "Bowles sucks!" for the the rest of the f*cking year. No one cares. Time is the ultimate arbiter and we will know for sure after the season.

This is site for discussing Jets football and our opinions on various things.

If your definition of whining is "saying something that accomplishes nothing" then you're whining. You're not a moderator, and it is not your place to tell people what they should or shouldn't discuss. In fact knuckleheads like you can cause the site to lose income from advertisers because you are trying discourage discussion. If you don't like something, move along. Don't tell me what to say or what to discuss.

ASJ has some real talent, just needs to get that head right. I suspect we draft our future tight end as its a very deep portion in the draft. Glad we didn't overpay for Bennett. We need to stockpile picks, develop completion and then resign our own when rookie deals are up. That's how you win consistently in today's NFL.

    Free agency is overrated

I agree. But I really disagree with the premise of this thread that the Jets should be signing a veteran TE through FA. It just doesn't fit with the mold of what I feel they are trying to do - that is rebuild from the ground up. I look at a guy like OJ Howard and think to myself you would need to make an argument NOT to draft him? He's not only been able to avoid any major injury, but he's also a NEED and likely the BAP in the 1st round. Meaning the Jets could also trade down (assuming they find a trade partner) and likely still be able to grab him. He's an OL and a very good, all around TE prospect.

If Mac is being any bit responsible in the rebuilding process, he must know that building from the inside out is a very good approach?

Although QB is the wildcard at the 6th pick IMO. If Mac sees a great, young QB prospect then that's a pick he MUST make.........
