Put her behind the OL and see their ability to "pass protect" skyrocket! Have her become the "blocking back", and our QB will never have a hand laid on him.
Absolutely do not want , but what has Siemien shown you to make you think he's a better option than Petty or Hack?
It doesn't matter what he has shown me or anyone on this forum. It's not realistic to think that the Jets will go into this season with just Petty and Hack at QB, or those two and a rookie. The only way that happens is if Mac can't sign or trade for a vet QB.
Okay, so let's say they get Siemien, what does that future look like to you? And yes, I agree that Macc will most likely not go into TC without a vet QB, but I sure wish he would.. Draft Mahomes or Watson and that ensures that Bowles will HAVE to play one of them, and not lean on a crutch of a shitty vet QB that will only delay things more.
That would depend upon how long his contract is, how much his present contract is for, and how he plays here. He's young at least. Unless he's guaranteed the starting spot (which he should not be), he's not so good that Petty or Hack would stand no chance of beating him out.
IDK...maybe he's the best option, assuming Macc is intent on signing a vet QB, but the risk of him being a roadblock to Petty or Hack or a draftee is what bothers me.
Are we basically digressed that Todd Bowles is simply the WRONG HEAD COACH to A. Groom & play a young QB (Which leads to..) B. Unfit to lead a true rebuild specifically offensively..? As painful as that maybe...if that's the case...yeah...sit on as much dough as we can..stockpile as many draft picks as feasible..ignore the QB..and go into 2018 w. hopefully a top 3 pick...100+ mill in cap space...and a new regime not stuck in 1993.
Enjoy this boys...this is as exciting as our season is going to get. I was a proponent for dealing for Mccarrons ...i'm good with this.
It would be realistic, especially if that QB was selected in the first round with the 6th pick. Petty has shown enough to backup and seems to already have been given the label.
24 Trevor Siemian DEN QB passes 289, attempts 486, 59.5 %,34.7 3,401 yds, 7.0, 242.9 yds/gm,18 TD, 10 inter QB rating 85 This is much better than Fritz or Petty.. I would have no problem with him as the starter in 2017
Well the 85 rating and TD:INT is higher than Sanchez or Geno. Seems like we should get another pick in return. The Jets would be trading a DROY, #13 overall pick for a 7th rounder. Throw in Denver's 3rd or 4th
"The Future Doesn't Get Better By Hope its Gets Better By Plan" I am going by what I have said countless times and echoed by a few other posters Play Hack and Petty in 2 way competition,,add third QB from later rounds of 2017 draft....let us fail miserably in 2017 and DRAFT a really good QB in 2018 Avoid a FA QB..I wish Cutler and AJ many years of spousal happiness with handsome progeny Forget Siemien Hoyer and anyone else.. Now there is a prob unloading S Richaardson which is how this discussion got started IMO find some other point of need on the Jets eg CB DE OL and make some phone calls Then..try to trade for your guy and get some picks along with it Bon Voyage $heldon jmho
