Jets looking at Siemian

I say no

Must be some clause in Mac/Bowles contract that demands the team always have a Vet QB..who knows

He does have some impressive numbers there, but that is with the pumped up D offense SB Defense and excellent coaching

Guy can fall on his face with the Jets (may not even WANT to come here) or puts up half those numbers at best

We will see..

 

His impressive numbers aren't that impressive. 59.5 completion percentage, 3400 yards, 18:10 TD:I.

 

If we are adamant that Petty and Hack aren't ready, give Nick Foles $20 and a 2-for-1 Denny's voucher. The outcome will still be the same.

 

Pumped up offense? Denver had zero running game last year and a putrid offensive line.

I'd be surprised if they traded Siemian considering Romo is not a long term answer and is not exactly durable.

Denver is not going to cut Siemian. You do realize that he is going to cost a decent draft pick? Would you rather spend a 3rd or 4th this year on Nate Peterman or Jerrod Evans or trade for Siemian?

 

Idk how real our "interest" is... I googled Trevor Siemen and I saw similar articles to this referring to every team with a bad QB situation having "interest" bears, 49ers, etc. It looks like people just throwing poo at the wall and knowing something will stick.

I also don't know if Siemien is any good, anyone seen him play?

 

The fact that he only threw 27 TDs to 24 INTs in college is mind boggling. His best season? 11 TDs 9 INTs. I'm convinced I could look like a decent QB in Denver.

The jets have had "interest" so far in every scrub qb on the market, this sound like another one of those rumors.

Brady progressively got better. He pulled off some 4th quarter comebacks and was 20-5 as a starter. He also did not throw 7 TDs to 11 INTs as a senior.

Named starter in his second year in the league, not terrible numbers for a guy learning how to be a QB in the NFL and experiencing growing pains.

Elway would be smart to keep him even if he does sign Romo, we know Romo will get hurt again.

Still wouldn't trade for him.

 

Brady had two come from behind bowl wins in his 2 years starting at Michigan. Still looked like a slowfoot with a big windup but his results were pretty good.

 

Those figures have been a distant dream for most of the last 20 years.

In the past 20 seasons, Jets QBs have cracked 3,400 yards on a grand total of FOUR occasions.

 

You don't know anything about Siemians career in college. Brady played for a really good Michigan team that had unbelievable talent on offense. Siemian played for a Northwestern team that was running an arkward two QB system until his senior year. By the time he finally had the job to himself the team was completely bereft of talent.

That being said I don't think Siemian is anywhere near the player Brady is or was.

 

Siemian is also 1-0 vs Hackenberg FTR

 

Jets targeting Taylor, targeting Hoyer, targeting Mallett, targeting Siemian and not trusting in Petty or Hacc, this really sums that our FO doesn't really have any idea how to proceed on QB front.
