i tell u folks - i really thought RR would be the one to bring us back to the SB, close for sure but no deal. His style sure did fit our befuddled team at first but wore thin as the years and losing went by......

i wouldn't be totally opposed to it, likely as a D coordinator. BUT we would need a GM and head coach in place to reign him in when necessary and get him the proper pieces to succeed on D.

yup.....i fell for his game - kinda like i did with trump. come to think of it, rex reminds me a lot of trump. LOL.

u can't argue RR had the initial bang with success and all. funny though i don't think the political gods will allow the same success for DT.

    LOL

Most, if not all, of us fell for Rex early. The problem is that once the rest of the league figured out his blitzes, he had nothing. His bluster wore thin, and worst of all, he made the Jets a circus with both his mouth and his moves. That's why I can't believe that anyone in their right minds, who truly is a Jets fan, would take him back. I wouldn't even take him back as the custodian. He's screw that up and get the team banned from their facilities by the Health Dept.

    Fuck it.

    Bring Rex back.

I'd rather go 4-12 with Rex than Todd.

    More laughs. More excitement.

    More fun!

He has won more post season games than any other Jets coach...and it looks like he'll hold that record for a long while.

First we need Eric Mangini and Tannenbaum to build the team, then bring in Rex cause the teams Rex helped to buid afterwards were garbage.

ANYTHING is better than Mac and toilet Bowles. I would gladly take Rex back just to fire Bowles. But the best thing to do would be to just fire your HC whenever you determine he sucks, everyone knows that right now about toilet. Then, get a NEW HC and go with him.

    I'm good with Mangini.

He actually knows what he's talking about.

I'll stick with Mac for now.

    Rex Revisionist Ryan.

His best quality was that he really loved the Jets.

His second best was hating the Patriots.

I loved Rex when he joined the Jets. The 2010 season is tied for my favorite season as a fan, along with 1998.

That said, the Jets best foot forward is to get rid of the circus, and part of doing this is not re-invigorating it by rehiring Rex. And to that point, don't sign Kaepernick either. The Jets won't be shit until they stop with the clown shoes act.

Rex can still run a good defense. I wouldn't mind bringing him in as a DC personally.

I didn't want him to leave. He just needed a real GM.

I'd take him as DC in a heartbeat, but not head coach again. Not enough discipline.

People are voting for Rex because Bowles is awful. Don't get it twisted. Rex was a better coach, but that's not saying he's great by any means.

Rex got the Jets into the playoffs more times than any other Jet coach in it's franchise history......

Let me repeat this , because this takes a bit for me to let it sink in especially when the posters here have made
a point to mock and berate him...

Rex got the Jets into the playoffs more times than any other Jet coach in it's franchise history - and he was only
a coach with them 6 years....not too shabby.

I'll take him back..... give him the right players to coach and take them back on the playoff road.

Weeb also got the Jets into the playoffs twice. SB win in 1968-69 and a playoff loss to the Chiefs the following year.
