cimini (or whoever started this rumor) talked out of his ass. nothing changed. d-rob played almost every down at NT.
ok first off, congrats to D-Rob. secondly, is it just me or does dewayne look dangerously close to having down syndrome in that picture?
Like I've been saying, he's getting better every week but some folks just hate the guy so they cannot see it.
he is the key for our D this season....I wonder if this is going to be new beginning for D-rob....we'll find out this week.
yeah I looked for that last week and D-Rob was at NT at least 80 percent of the time. at least. 6 tackles and a sack for a NT? thats monstrous just monstrous. see i think now were sending blitzes lineman are getting nervous about picking them up and its really freeing up dewayne. not to mention hes just putting together the flashes of good plays hes made only in a couple drives, into a whole game. if he continues to play like this our defense will be great. we'll see. Olin Kreutz is a solid center. so itll be a good test for him to perform up to expectations two weeks in a row.
Love it. The Pats game was the first time I'd broken out the DRob jersey all year, too. Clearly, I had as much to do with it as anyone.
I'm glad he got the award but 6 tackles and a sack..... must have been a slow week in the defensive AFC.
huh? ss thompson had 2 ints, 3 tackles lb smith had 11 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble de lang had 2 tackles, 2 sacks, a forced fumble cb washington had 2 tackles, 2 ints
im not trying to harp on it since BallHawk brought it up. but 6 tackles and a sack for a NT is amazing. it sounds stupid but, I'd equate that to be like a 18 tackle, multiple sack game for a LB. NT's dont even have to put up stats to have a good game. yet he managed to push back the line of scrimmage AND penetrate.
His sack was a gimme as Brady had fallen down BUT he got pressure on Brady alot during the game. he had an outstanding game and has been playing better eevry single week. Hopefully he can keep it up.
d-rob (out of the 3-4 formation!) collapsed the pocket, bullrushed their center dan koppen into tom brady and brady went down because obviously he doesnt like to get hit (see the thomas sack). rhodes might have something to do with it
not many. but i dont see many QBs just flat out drop to the ground as soon as they see defenders closing. brady did that twice on sunday
it looked like that live speed but when they showed the replay you can see his foot slipping and that's why he fell down.
Brady had nowhere to go, and he did run into his guy. The ground was a mess. It's exceedingly difficult to look around, get barrelled into by a 300 pound lineman, get your bearings, set your feet, and throw. Robertson has been getting better every week. The Jets mixing in a run blitz here and there takes tremendous pressure off the guy. In a 3-4, he's not being counted on to make plays, but when there's no pressure because the Jets are constantly dropping back, the microscope zooms in on the guy. Obviously the run defense looks better when the linebackers aren't just hanging back, getting put on their heels by lineman every play. Hopefully the Jets show a commitment to the blitz. I think you'll see a far more productive line if that becomes the case. Despite Robertson's improved play, I'd like to see the Jets add one more large body for that line. New England puts Richard Seymour on the nose sometimes, but the versatility that he and Warren provide is what makes that line solid. Maybe Pouha is the guy, maybe someone else. Either way, it's nice to see Robertson's steady progress. -X-
