Sounds like Bowles is having a bit of a time trying to fill out his staff. Perception can be a bitch..
Clint Hurtt has not been hired by the Jets. It was just reported on ESPN that OLB coaching position is still open.
I'm starting to wonder if Bowles will have to hire back everybody he just fired so he can actually have a CS on hand before the draft.
Maybe, maybe not. San Francisco is the rare team we can argue we have more to work with on the roster. He hasn't shaken loose yet, so never say never. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
I don't know about that but the Cleveland Browns will win more games than us. This draft is going to fill some big holes for them.
THIS WAS REPORTED IN ANOTHER THREAD ,,, that said we are in big trouble kids. I am thinking they will have to promote from within but in the grand scheme it really does not matter as this time next year we are cleaning house and having these same conversations
Well, lets not count out Human greed as a motivator just yet. Everyone is betting that Bowles is a dead coach walking this year so its gonna be hard to attract any coaches to sign on knowing they'll probably be fired at the end of the season anyway. Players otoh, usually get front loaded guaranteed cash so if any of them need some major money on a 2-3 year deal with an opt out, they'll come and take Woody's cash. Several things went wrong here: first, By not firing Bowles and coming out with the "no playoff mandate" edict, Woody made Bowles a lame duck as no one believes Bowles will be around in 2018 nor will he be extended. By trying to demonstrate "stability", Woody inadvertently made the Jets perhaps the most undesirable franchise in the NFL for the 2017 season. Money will attract a few FA's, but those who sign here realize the CS situation is shakey and the overall quality of the franchise is not optimum. "Heyyyyy, must be the money!!! "
