No, hell no, and no, hell no. The whole totality of how he handled himself last year was a complete turn off. From the contract negotiation on it was a complete and total cluster fuck. I'd sooner take Geno Smith back at this point and I don't want his ass either. Next year, if anything, it's Petty/Hack and maybe a wild card whatever who's job it is to backstop the youth movement. This 4QB thing is garbage and they'd better not draft another guy unless they are ready to call it game on Petty or Hack first.

If we could somehow bring back Fitz for free I would not want him back. He has not been careful with the football. He has not been productive. If he were both of those things he might be the present but he is certainly not the future. Revis has been battling injuries but even he will admit he has lost a step. Given how expensive he is (also not the type to take less for the benefit of the team) it seems that it is time to rip off the band-aid, take the cap hit now, and sy goodbye to Revis. I am not sure how we do that with dignity but it needs to happen.
They said yesterday during the game that he has been speaking with bowles about switching to safety and is willing to speak more. If he restructures to what a safety would make for one year then I would keep him on, if not cya.
Turn the page, its that simple. Why some fans insist on holding on to players that are scrubs is beyond me. Fitz needs to go, the jets need to purge the roster of their overpaid nonproductive players and start the youth movement. I can see the jets bringing back Geno as the veteran QB and let Petty and Hack battle it out for the starting spot. Next year is going to be another bad year, what the jets don't need is an older and more physically limited Fitzpatrick on the roster.
