I know this subject may annoy certain posters, so if it does don't read it or comment... Ok so 10 weeks deep into the season and I think the Jets could field quite a few pro-bowl roster spots. Here's my list of the guys on the Jets I think have legitimate shot at a Pro-Bowl appearance: Offense: C Nick Mangold: I know he's a rook, but damn he's been impressive WR Laverneous Coles: impressive year, may have to pick up some big yardage games down the stretch to get in Defense: SS: Kerry Rhodes: Great playmaker-- enough said. ILB: Johnathon Vilma: Not looking like he'll make it, but you never know Special Teams: KR Justin Miller: He looks like a lock already P Ben Graham: I know he's not first in Net or Avg. but he's had a terrific year kicking in the windy swamp know as the Meadowlands Anyone I am missing???
Fans: Italian Seafood. Seriously, I'll be going. Hey, I'm having a decent year, only missed one game. I think I deserve to go and it's not just reputation.
Coles is not going. He's been invisible lately. Mangold has an outside, very outside, shot. Rhodes has a good shot Vilma, no f'ing way. Miller won't go, he's NOT a lock. They bring a special teams guy.. that guy needs to take back punts too. Graham... possible, not likely..
I would say Justin Miller for KR and Kerry Rhodes at Safety will make it. The others are good options but I don't think they will make it
miller should be given a chance to return punts. i dont care bout last yr. maybe we can blame herman edwards for that too. either way tim d-white isnt getting it done.
VIlma will make it he leads the league in tackles neutral fans still consider him one of the top 4 LBs in the game.
Koren Robinson made the probowl last year despite only being a KR. (He actually returned 2 punts on the year, but not a primary guy)
Stand corrected.... but I can't see it happening... I don't know why, I just don't, although he is a heck of a KR
If Miller takes another one back over the next few games, I would say he's a lock. 3 kick returns in a season and a top 3 average usually gets it done. It's going to be tough for Rhodes. Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu are getting to that point where they might have lockdown Pro Bowl roster spots. He needs to continue to shine. -X-
He's not even close to leading the league in tackles. He's 8th in AFC http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/AFC/TAC/2006/regular
Miller is the only lock right now. Rhodes hasn't done much since his early 3 sacks. I'd love to see Nick Mangold or Brick go as they have both played great, of the two of them Mangold certainly has the better chance.
Miller is a lock NFL Kick Returns Rank Player Team Rets Yds Avg LG TDs 1 Justin Miller NYJ 32 964 30.1 103 2 he leads the league in TD's, return yards, and average. 30 yards a return...damn thats good
