If the Jets didn't have Pryor, this would be a great selection ... he can cover in the slot too, saw it on draftbreakdown.com in the same game. Trubisky the QB, edge rusher or defensive back I think Jets will go in RD1. Derek Barnett might be someone the Jets are interested in as well.
Agreed, but Ryan Ramczyk's stock might really go up come draft time. He looks pretty decent, but inexperienced.
You need to watch Adams against Ole Miss. He completely shut down Evan Engram, who was torching just about everyone all year in the SEC.
Big 10 linemen in general are generally solid picks. I read that Conklin from MSU is quietly having an awesome rookie year for the Titans.
I don't think Peppers is all that great, but Hooker and Adams are special safeties. I think I like Hooker more, his range is unbelievable. That interception he made yesterday he covered so much ground.
There was a rumor that Tim Williams will fall the draft because off-the-field concerns. If Barnett's off the board, a safety is a real possibility at No. 6.
Thats good news, he should be available at 6 if the Jets go that route. This is a very special safety class. If you need a guy that can help take out the short routes, good in run support Adams is your guy. Hooker I think can help take away the deep passes down the field. The # of deep passes down the field for TDs allowed for the Jets defense has been out-right awful you can argue the last 2 yrs. Gilchrist has been bad at the FS position. We passed on Ed Reed before, shouldn't pass up on that chance again if he's the real deal.
Personally, watching the two Adams appears more impressive to me on the surface. Is there any skillset that Hooker is known to do really well that Adams struggles with? Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
EDIT - had to change up the post to better answer the question. Adams = Troy Polamalu Hooker = Ed Reed The range Hooker has is one of the best I've seen in a LONG time. Adams can't hold Hooker's jock in that section. I saw Hooker come from the middle of the field, ALL the way to the upper part of the EZ to intercept a pass.
Malik Hooker out 4 to 6 months: http://walterfootball.com/nfldraftrumormill/article/Malik Hooker Out 4-6 Months After Two Surgeries Ohio State safety Malik Hooker will be out 4-6 months after having hernia and labrum surgery. Don't think this will affect his stock all that much.
Hernia is a bitch though, special player but can we really draft a guy top 6 that is coming off injury? Everyone will bash the pick.
