If it's 200,000 Jets fans with 10,000 per, I'd be in!

the fans aren't what allow for full rebuilds. most of you want bowles gone after his second year

Instead of using his football acumen (or that of his front office) to select his last two GMs, Woody has been using outside consultants. The first bunch of Jokers selected John Idzick, now thr two long time football geniuses selected Mac. Meenwhile Tanny (who was fired to make room for these two prodigies) rebuilt the Dolphins who just clinched the playoffs.

    Strange but true

Of course things can always change for Miami the way they did during Tannys tenure with the Jets...no guarantees

I was on board with Casserly and Wolfe but why did we not hire one of them (with great GM track records) vs getting Mac??

Ive said it before ..model your program and learn from Giants Pittsburgh and NE

I am just out of answers for this Team

Many of us on the GG grew up in nice middle class homes or pulled themselves up from a family upbringing with financial , emotional hardship

None of us can comprehend the world of snobbery and privilege, omnipotence ,grandiosity, selfishnesss of the uber wealthy

Woody is not smart ( of course he thinks he is)...Woody is no D Trump

Can we crowd source for 51% and let Bon Jovi get the other 49%? He can take pictures and shake hands and all football decisions are made by a commitee like in Green Bay. No more Woody Johnson (still the best name in sports) and the owner gets headlines and spotlight on his own so he cna let the football gusy do the football things.

Then he shouldn't own a football team if he can't tune out the noise. Tough shit, woody.

Either that or give up full control of day to day operations to someone who knows what the fuck they are doing.

With the number of fans the Jets apparently have in, one of, their home states. I'd be hard pressed to imagine there are even 200k Jets fans. Let alone 200k with 10k to drop on buying this sorry ass team. It would explain why away teams can get their fans into the games at such impressive numbers. I bet half the season ticket holders are just NY business people that couldn't bought the tickets for show because they couldn't get st for any of the other major sports teams.

    This season has been depressing.

He comes off as a fan of the sport that wants to be one of the "cool kids in the owners box." If he has smart football people making the decisions i have no issue with him being "the face" of the franchise. As for him being a P*ts fan, i think that's more of him being a football fan and Kraft tugging him off to keep celebs around. Obviously i would love a Jets fan to take the helm over anything. the issue is who is a fan with a large enough networth? the only one I can think of Larry David, estimated networth $800. It seams like a lot of trust fund kids buy teams for the spotlight. if it's a celeb sports fan they already get their attention elsewhere and can back off and let the football people do their jobs.

I remember Curtis Martin said he was interested in ownership a while back. It'd be cool if he could get his foot in the door with the Jets.

I think you're completely crazy here... Jim Bob Cooter is the best name in sports.

Realistically, how much do you think woody could sell the team for? 5-6, 8 billion? 10B?

Forbes says $2.75 Billion, seventh in the league. Dallas is first at $4.2 Billion.

It would be a nice return on investment for Woody.
