Funny thing is that Bowles had the 24th ranked defense in yards as Arizona's defensive coordinator in 2014 (29th vs. the pass), while in 2015 they jumped to 6th (8th vs. the pass), and are 4th (5th vs. the pass) this year.

I won't take credit for this as another poster made a thread for this, by the way.

So much for being this glorified defensive coordinator.

i have no idea how it would have ended up. i don't think we would have had another gm come in and try to make a run with ryan fitzpatrick or geno smith at qb if we would have let the idzick era die a natural death rather then storming the castle with pitch forks and torches though. but thats what we did and the new g.m. tried to appease the masses and well, as the title of this thread says, here we are again.

Realistically Idzik probably would've gotten canned this year. I think he would've been a lot smarter in his forward thinking of signing players in their prime rather than players exitting their prime.

They were all filler players though. Literally almost every deal Mac made was voidable after this year which is why we can have so much cap space with the cuts that will come because of the way those deals were structured. Including the Revis deal.

Cut it out. You're fanning the tiny flame of hope that I had that was ready to burn out.:)

This is the first time since Parcells showed up that I want them to stop chasing their tail, and, Mac, or whoever, redo this thing. If what you're saying is true then they're in a position to do that.

I also have a sliver of Hope that they're holding an Ace with Hack and this fucking thing could turn around. Hope so, cause I'm running out of patience and am starting to legit hate the NFL.

Regardless, if the signings were younger and better we wouldn't have to clean house like we have to this offseason.

Revis, Harris, Clady, Gilchrist, Marshall, and Fitzpatrick. Right there we're looking at replacing six starters in one offseason before even considering upgrading right tackle, the other cornerback spot, and tightend.

Replacing 6 starters is an extremely tall order for any franchise, before we're even thinking about upgrading the team at edge rusher as well as other positions.

It's nearly imperative that Rontez Miles, Burris, Shell and Mauldin/Jenkins take huge step forwards to become quality starters so we can focus on improving left tackle, tightend, quarterback, etc.

He had the right idea but was to incompetent to pull it off.Once the fans thought he was intentionally sabotaging Rex they turned on him.Once Jets fans turn on you its almost impossible to win them back.

Really not the "Fire the Head Coach" guy but if after watching the team this season you want to keep Bowles around there is something wrong with you. Team completely gave up, he hasn't improved in any category of headcoaching, and he doesn't have an area where we at least excel in.

In my twenty years as a Jets fan have never seen a Jets team give up on a coach like this. Time to move on.

I agree with your assessment about GM because he inherited a terrible roster and tried to rebuild through the draft and FA...latter hasn't worked but most of the contacts were structured to get them out of here after 2 -3 years. that said this CS needs to go NOW ..the team not been prepared to play since the KC game and IMHO this HC started to lose the team when he kept Fitz in for 6 ints and then completely lost them the next week when the lost to Seattle. Their play has been for the most part uninspired and the mental mistakes they continue to make goes right to coaching and holding players accountable. This mess falls right at the feet of the HC who has allowed his players to run the asylum...

Never really got the hate for Woody (aside from the stadium issue).

It's not like he's making the picks or anything and unlike the premier league/ la liga etc... he can't suddenly realize he's made a massive hiring mistake, can the manager for a new hot hand and chuck millions at him to sort out the team

for me the issues started in 2010, 4 draft picks... NONE of them any good.

2011 wilkerson, powell, kerley. 1 now an overpaid quitter, 1 a middling rb and a traded away average wr

2012 antonio allen is about the only thing worth talking about, coples was a fucking waste of a top pick. hill was a bigger waste and davis was also

2013 richardson.... ehh.... winters.... wasted number 9 pick, wasted 2nd round pick.

2014 possibly the worst draft for the amount of players in nfl history. who the fuck was picking these guys? enunwa was the only one worth shit and it included a 1, 2, 3 and 3 4th round picks. pryor is an ok player, not what you need out of a first rounder though. just absolutely terrible.

2015 williams... mauldin i wanted to be good, not so sure at this point.

throw in a 3 player draft in 09 which ended up with a big ass mark sanchez contract in what 2012? and the entire thing is an abortion for the past 7 years.

we didnt find free agents, we didnt find guys who had huge motors who could do specific things, we didnt find the diamonds in the rough, we didnt find guys who had made mistakes but were good guys who could succeed in the right environment. the jets simply drafted guys based upon no real belief system, they tried to fill holes with guys who had already done good and paid too much for them.

and were talking about 3 different regimes here. 3 different regimes of complete dog shit.

you really need to go back to 2007 to see a couple good guys from the draft, remember please we drafted gholston in 2008.

    fuck this mess. so frustrating.

Namath and a deal with the Devil?? Too much rum and nog boys and girls!

I guess Satan has contracts with Cleveland and Jacksonville Too...We need to return to the reality that since Namath we have had playoff teams and stinkers...now we are mired in the worst cesspool

Lotsa really good Posts today Terrible deals by Mac yes but TB has no skills at Coaching Leadership plus his body is breaking down from the stress

I give Mac another year to correct things on D, draft well, and revamp our offense Otherwise I am off his bandwagon

REAL ANSWER SOMEONE POSTED: SAY GOODBYE TO WOODY

Only problem is he owns the team:mad:
