The last thing we need is for Air Gailey to rear its ugly head and get Petty killed finally. Belichek already is drawing up scary shit to confuse the kid. I'm pretty sure Gailey doesn't have anything to counter with so, lets just keep Petty's throws to a minimum.. Here's an intriguing idea: Let Schitz finish the season behind what might be the worst Oline in football as of right now. Schitz ripped us off for $12mil so we might as well use him as a tackling dummy until the Monday after New Years Day. 2 games behind the worst oline in the NFL may be the end of the road for Fitz here, but he'll take an really hard asswhippin with him on the way to the next team he dupes into a contract. Make him earn that $12mil and save Petty for 2017. You know Belichek is drawing up scary shit and I'm sure Rex will come up with some Martian shit to throw at the kid on the last day. #SavePetty2017

I read that winters injured his shoulder during the dolphins game. I hope it's not to serious of an injury like Deckers where he'll need surgery and 8 months recovery time. Even though the line sucked this year (mainly because of our tackles) I thought he played pretty well. Hopfully he will be good to go for the start of next season.

Are you related to Petty? Distant cousin maybe? I never want someone to get injured but maybe this helps us in contract negotiations. Never thought I'd say this but we need to retain him and I'm hoping it doesn't turn into an Austin Howard situation where he's vastly overpaid. Luckily for us it's a strong guard market this upcoming offseason. We let Slauson go and he's been a productive NFL starter. We let Ducasse go and he's bounced around the league but proven he's at worst a 6th offensive lineman. We let Howard go and he's starting on one of the best lines in football even if he's overpaid. Aboushi got cut because he was an overly religious douchebag and he's a swing lineman. We need to stop letting these at worst depth offensive lineman go. Depth on the offensive line is so undervalued by the fans and more importantly this franchise. Say we go out and sign Warmack, Warford or Zeitler to play right guard. Winters would be one of the best 6th offensive lineman in the game. We got relatively lucky for years of no offensive line injuries yet the years they get hurt we have Wayne fucking Hunters to plug in.
If they beat the Dolphags (and a million other stars align), we need Fitz available in Week 17 to eliminate Buffalo from playoff contention (aka Payback Time). That's the only way he can repay a tiny bit of his contract.
