    The season is over.
    Petty is not the answer.
It's time to get to the main event.
It's time for the Jets to see what Hackenberg can do.
It can't wait until next year.
Especially if the front office is considering drafting a QB in the sirst round next spring.

What do you expect Hackenberg to do behind this line?

Bad idea. If he has a good offseason, he can compete for the job next year. No sense putting him in when he isn't ready with a complete lost cause team

Tom Brady would have a hard time behind this line.

Die. Or perhaps just get snapped in half like a wishbone. I believe the update I read about Petty mentioned 'CT scan' and 'possible punctured lung'. FFS.

No way you put another young kid back there to get killed. Let Fitz take the beatings the rest of the way, let him earn his money. When he breaks, put Revis back there. Kill off the dead wood, not the kids.

Yeah absolutely. There's no reason to destroy Hackenberg's confidence even worse than Penn State did. Playing him against New England and a good front 7 vs. Buffalo is a horrible idea.

We invested a second round pick for this kid to be the chosen one. Let's not kill him off right away.

As much as I would love to see Hack play it's not going to happen. Petty is going to close out these next 2 games if he doesn't have any damage after the CT scan tomorrow morning. Playing Hack would almost certainly be a disaster. Even if Hack was ready, our line and wide receivers wouldn't help him out one bit. Let's just keep him safe and not playing behind 5 human turnstiles. After his last 2 seasons at Penn State Hack is most likely still shellshocked.

I'd like to see Woody Johnson under center.

    Just for one series.

Yeah... Lets put Hack behind that Oline. Lets kill another young Qb. Since "the sky is the limit" for Hack, why not play him these last two games. At least Macc will finally get some ROI out of his 2nd rd. picks.

No way should Hack be active. Too much of a chance that Fitz may not survive behind this line.
If Petty can't play just sign someone off the couch to hold the clipboard for2 weeks.

To be fair as I recall Mike Mac tried to trade up this draft to get the weed smoking superstar O lineman (forgot the name)

So the GM knows the problem for sure

Now Petty hurt? ,, sheesh when it rains it pours for this accursed franchise

Is Geno well enough to play?? Seriously..

Lol right, let's have 3 injured quarterbacks that suck. That's your punishment for being a Jets qb. Having to play

Let Fitz take the beatings for the rest of the year. Seriously I don't know which is worse, our turnstile offensive line, or our Swiss cheese defensive backfield.

Fitz survived the season, what makes you think he'll get injured? He'll just toss a few ints when there is no one to throw to. He's tough, I'll give him that. I'd be more worried about Hackenberg getting injured like Petty.

What did Hack do to you? Do you really have to throw the young kid to his inevitable death? He doesn't deserve to play behind this line. [No QB does actually, but that's another story.]

    1) Fitz has been injured once already.

    2) This is not the same line that Fitz played the majority of the season with.
