Okay, well that was a very nice win! Now it's time to start focusing on Chicago. If we can force Grossman into making mistakes I really think we have a chance here. We must also put a concerted effort in stopping the run. Berrian may still be injured and might not play. Offensively we will need to eat up clock, but I also think with Mike Brown out we can go for some big plays too. The whole thing is the O-Line. We also will need to stay mistake free. No turnovers and limit the sacks and plays behind the line of scrimmage.
I really feel since our team is built around smart players this game has some advantages for us. The Bears one most of their games by taking advantage of mistakes if we play smart football we counter that. Same could be said for taking advantages of THEIR mistakes, lets take advantage of Grossmans at times horrible decision making. We definitaly have a shot at this game and if we pull this one out it wont be long before we see our beloved team on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
If Grossman makes mistakes we can hang with the Chicago. It will interesting to see how our offense matches up with the Chicago D.
Would like to see Smith used more this week with some trick plays to catch out their defence. Maybe its time to actually let him throw one so we can best use his running from a direct snap in future.
Yep, that is for players and coaches. I am going to bathe in the afterglow of this win all week. It isn't my job to get ready for Chicago. My job as a Jets fan is to bask in whatever glory comes my way, no matter how fleeting, and to suffer just as much after a tough loss. this is like smoking a 14 foot cigarette after sex. I'll let it last as long as it will.... and enjoy every second of it!
As long as I don't banned, I'm going to be posting here a little throughout the week. I like the Jets. They're my favorite AFC team. My mom was a Jets fan, lived in NY in the 60s (before I was born in 76, so I wasn't afflicted ... kidding). I'm looking forward to this one, it'll be a tough game. Unless Rex melts down (which I think he'll learn not to do, it's just mental mistakes) we should win. But who knows, that was an awfully impressive win at NWE (who are going to lose 3 straight at home, trust me).
Welcome bearmick! Quality posters always welcome. We have other non-Jets fans post on here who add some different views , some are even honoured, Dirtywater. But I don't think you will see him around for a while.... don't be a stranger DW.
Miami and Arizona proved that anyone can beat the Bears. The key to the Bears is not turning the ball over and playing good special teams. Hester is a great returner and the team really mops up teams when they turn the ball over.
I have tons of respect for the Bears... I am happy they are having a great season but lets hope we take this one from their feet! Heres to an injury free game...
I really didn't mean that in terms of us, I meant that in that the team now needs to focus on the Bears. I also meant for this thread to be a pre-game thread, but didn't realize there were already some out there.
