We sacked Andy Dalton 7 times in week one. We have 12 sacks since then (in 11 games). Mind you this includes a defense front with: Leonard Williams - first round, #6 (4 years/$18.6 million) Sheldon Richardson - first round, #13 (4 years($10.05 million) Quinton Coples - first round, #16 (oh wait) Darron Lee - first round, #20 (4 years/$10.22 million) Mohammad Wilkerson - first round, #29 (5 years/$86 million) David Harris - second round, #47 (3 years/$21.5 million) Lorenzo Mauldin - third round, #82 Jordan Jenkins - third round, #83 Steve McLendon - 3 year/$10.5 million Don't feel like adding up all their cap hits this year. But it's truly disgusting.
We're getting beat to the punch and out maneuvered like redheaded step children....fuckin drubbed. It's unbelievable. Crazy
Gruden said it last night and we have asked for it for years, we are a 3-4 defense missing that pass rusher, the way we have drafted you would think that we were a 4-3. We still haven't had a good one since John Abraham, that streak is almost as bad as our lack of a QB
Pretty sure that is why he said, "Oh, wait", meaning, 1st rounder, no longer on the team, no cap hit.
It does, but part of it is that our D-Line hasn't learned to do anything other than push forward in a straight line. It's amazing how they show bother lack of skill and lack of effort in rushing the passer. Honestly the only reason they did so well week 1 was McClendon and Thomas, both guys actually use moves to get around their match up. That in turn created chaos and space for everybody else.
My take of what I've witnessed all season below Leo Williams- consistent motor, a young guy you build a defense around. High character Sheldon Richardson- takes plays off, lacks motivation and character. Huge disappointment and must go Mo Wilkerson- got paid and disappeared. No excuse for his lack of effort and production Mevi$- has obviously cashed it in, literally. Playing off coverage with no passion Nick Mangold- age and injures are starting to catch up. He's been relied on for too long with turnstiles at G Brandon Marshall- probably one of my favorite players the jets have picked up in the past 20 years. HATES to lose. Leads by example and is still playing with passion. He seems to be truly embarrassed Q- stud. Brandon Marshall has truly been a blessing for his development.
we need to switch to a 4-3 also teams are gameplaning for our rush and getting the ball out quick and our secondary can't stop quick passes
Fire Bowles today. As long as he is head coach this team is going to suck. Yesterday was the most hapless Jets I can remember. An absolute disgrace to the City of New York.
We have 3 interior pass-rushers and no outside rusher. You got Mo playing outside rusher pretty much all of the time and he's non-effective in that role full-time. Sheldon is all over the place. The outside rusher is the missing piece as Lorenzo hasn't played well all season. Bowles wants the Jets to be able to run both depending on the match-up.
If Belichick were the coach, this defense would be killing it. He would figure out how to get the most out of this talent, but Bowles lacks the creativity to work with imbalanced personnel.
Sheldon Richardson had zero sacks and tackles w/ a personal foul. Smfh head with this dude. Always thought he was overrated by some fans. Buh Bye Sheldon Go to a 3-4 and do whatever you can to get a fuckin edge fuckin rusher in here.... and Pray that Hack metamorphosizes himself into a fuckin franchise QB
