Vic Beasley Jr. and his 9.5 sacks/4 forced fumbles sure would be helping this defense out a ton right now. Instead we have went out and got our third 305 pound defensive end.

Tough to knock Leonard Williams as he's been great. But some balance would be nice when we have two other clones of him already.

Believe me... I wanted Beasley. I mocked him to us. Pretty much a no brainer. I've also wanted Floyd (wasn't possible), Whitney Mercilus, Chandler Jones, and Nick Perry. But NO, we had to draft COPLES.

I was also a big believer in Yannick Ngakoue in this past draft. My first mock I had us taking him with our #1 pick. He was drafted in the 3rd by the Jags. But he's got 6 sacks, 2 PD, 1 INT, and 3 FF.

We seem to always fall in love with the physical qualities of players without looking at the intangibles and film. Beasley was pretty undersized yet has a relentless motor needed for pass rushers and very good technique. He always reminded me of an undersized Terrell Suggs in the sense that Suggs was overlooked due to his lack of speed and athleticism completely ignoring the fact that the guy would run through a wall to get to the QB.

Coples is the perfect example of a specimen without the acumen to play the game.

I thought the Jets D played okay today. Holding Brady to 22 points with 7 coming on a turnover is a good days work. The problem with this defense is that it's undisciplined. Jumping off sides at inopportune times have been costly. Guys making demonstrations after stops only to give up a big gain on the next play is a sign of immaturity. Both are signs of bad coaching. Nevertheless, the real problem with this team from the beginning is the offense. They just don't score enough to allow the defense to relax and exert itself.

    The D played better

Yeah yeah yeah...where should I pin the Medal?

Millions upon millions thrown their way for a decent game...I guess putting together a streak is too much to ask for

Meanwhile Shitz is at the controls throwing interceptions just when we need to win a game

The Team has been skewed in the wrong direction for some time now and I don't have another 48 years to wait:mad:

I like darron lee a lot but he blew he coverage on Lewis on the 4th down that would have sealed the play. Did not line up on him properly as he was the rb spy.

He has got to improve his coverage. I like how he has a nice eye for the ball in the running game, the angles he takes there and his aggressiveness. But yes, he has to improve his coverage skills, if he can he will be a nice player, he's got the quickness, its just learning how to cover, but of course that's easier said than done.

You can tell the pats did their homework. They drew that play up to confuse and beat Lee during the week. They also scouted how Revis is beaten by speed and took advantage of that

Yeah, well said. Like I said I do really like him it was just really frustrating to watch that play unfold. If he would have just leaked out when Lewis did he would have been able to tackle him for a loss and we win the game. Like he must just not have been looking

He was a step beyond mentally not physically. It took him just a split second to recognize they were going to his man and by then the damage was already done

He was spying Him. He should have leaked out with him. Pre snap Lewis leaked out which is a pretty obvious tell but lee lined up on top of Brady. If he leaks out he catches him
