It doesn't make any sense. Everyone needs to see what Petty can do. Yes, he had a 70 passer rating against a good defense in his debut, but Goff had a 65.8 in his. Give him a chance to grow. Maybe let him scramble a bit against the Pats, which may catch them off guard. They even have a whole extra week to prepare. I just don't understand this at all.

All I can vision is Bowles does not feel Petty has a shot to even make a dent against the Patsies. But talk about a total confidence killer. So the Jets have decided to tank the season. I feel bad for Anderson, poor kid won't need to ever get it out of 2nd gear the week.
I believe I said that leaving Fitzgarbage in after he threw 4 INTs in the KC game (so he could throw 5 and then 6) was a fireable offense, but putting him back in now overwhelmingly is. This might very well be the stupidest decision I have ever seen a Jets coach make, and I've seen 52 years of them.
If Petty was starting, it would be hugely exciting to see if he could pull it off and beat the Patriots. So what if we're throwing him into the deep end of the pool, that's fine, let's see if he can swim. He's been here for 1 1/2 seasons, let's go. With Fitz, thinking I'd rather see him lose, so that Petty can start next week. Yep, it's the Pats, and that's awful to want to lose, but right now seeing what we have in Petty is more important. Much more important. This is so depressing that I now need to watch a game on Sunday and not be totally into it. I'm 100% in to watching Petty.

Well no need to watch the game this weekend, kind of wish it still was the night game as that is much easier to forget about. I guess I will save hanging the the lights outside for 4pm on Sunday. Bowles is a fucking moron. Mac has no balls, even if he cannot dictate it to Bowles - then he needs to go to Woody and fill him in, we are not signing this scrub, so I need to evaluate our QB situation for next year, tell the idiot no more Fitz. Petty may be horrible, he may be looking worse than Fitz in practice, it is probably true given that he was clearly #3 in the coaches minds this year, but that doesn't matter - he did not look any worse than Fitz in the game and he did so with his hands tied behind his back.
Listen, I understand what your saying, however, this season is pointless. I don't care if we beat another team for the rest of the year because it truly doesn't matter. Losing actually means more for us in terms of draft position, I'm not rooting for this team to lose but I certainly don't give a shit if they do at this point either. Making this decision only intensifies my IDGAF meter, a true moron would be the only one to go with the short term here instead of the long term view. I probably won't even watch the game this upcoming Sunday. I truly understand why so many fans are checked out on this team at this point. We deserve better and supporting the bullshit isn't going to help anybody at this point. Fuck em.
