It sort of makes sense because the Pats pass D has been pretty bad, they aren't forcing turnovers or rushing the passer much. If Fitz throws int's against these guys I would think that would be the nail in the coffin...but you don't know with this staff. But you could make the same argument that Petty should start against a weak D. Plus, there isn't much film for Belichick to plan with, and some rookies have looked good against the Pats. I think it will be 42-17 Pats at the start of the 4th, then the Jets will score 2 td's and a fg in garbage time to make the final score 42-34, and everyone will say: see, starting Fitz was a good idea, we should start him next week. I told myself this week, if Bowles decides to play Fitz, he should be fired. This is as stupid as you can get. Belichick has a way of dissecting inexperienced QB's rather quickly, so i don't think it would be pretty. In terms of who cares if we win? I do. It's the Pats, and i always want to beat them, and potentially effect any home field playoff aspirations they may have... beating the Pats would be the only salvaging of this horrible season imo.. unfortunately i don't think it matters which QB we start tho, considering how lame the defense, offensive line, and coaches have been this season. I'm not expecting much, as i think this team has quit. Hope they prove me wrong...
