the jets did a spectacular job today. like i always say it is tough enough to win a game when it is 11 vs. 11 let alone 11 vs. 12 when you count the referees.
Thats half Patriots half the puissification of the NFL. You can barely touch the quarterback nowadays. Then to hear the tools say it was a good call.
The refs tried their best to hand the Pats a TD on the last drive of the first half. Maybe Hobson should have pressed the freeze frame button when he hit him. Maybe he should have defied gravity and driven him to the sky, instead of the ground. The refs and the horrible rules are destroying the game. I guess the NFL prefers it that way, so they can control the games and keep their golden boys on top. Too bad today's game didn't finish the way the league wanted it to. Oh well, you can't win them all.
Why don't they just change the rules so that the QB is tackled once a defenseive player touches him? Because that is all you are allowed to do.
The only flaw with your reasoning is that the play clock on the field is NOT the official one. This is from the official rules: The clock on the wall (and TV screen) runs down to zero before the ball is snapped without a whistle all the time, because that one is set by the clock operator upstairs, not the back judge. To think that the back judge is deliberately giving Brady extra time is IMO ridiculous.
