I agree, no Jet fan should ever root for the Giants.

    Couldn't be Happier

I am so happy with the way the Jets played today. I've been waiting for this for a long time. I'm so sick of having to listen to the Pats fans put the Jets down. Not today. The Jets simply outplayed the Pats. The 9 minute drive was awesome and I really enjoyed seeing Brady get sacked again and fumble the ball to end the game.

i cant post a new thread yet but i saw it mentioned in this one...how many people root against the Giants here?....why? .....we are in different conferences and play eachother maybe once a decade whne it matter ..it bothers me so much Jets fans taht root againts the giants and vice versa....all my giant fan friends taht root against the jets i shrug off and say they are un educated football fans..the giants and the jets are NOT RIVALS....if they play in the superbowl or that one year thye play eachother in the reg season they are but 90 percent of the time they are not...cheer for NY to do good all the round...this bothers me with Mets-Yanks too..i am a met fan but i cheer for NY always..the mets and yanks ARE NOT RIVALS they play eachother for what? 6 games out of a 162 game season ....thats not a rival..the only new york teams i will root against are the Rangers ( i am an islander fan and have been bred and raised to hate the rangers with every bone in my body) and the buffalo teams (if they count as ny).......STOP THE GIANT HATING AND ROOT FOR NY UNTIL THE DAY WE PLAY THE GIANTS IN THE SB.......

The coaches did a great job of taking chances and putting the players in position to succeed..........There is no way in hell we would have pulled that off under our old piece of shit regime.............

Why? Because giant fans are snotty bastards. I've never head the phrase "jets suck" more from any other fans, and after a jets loss/giants win, they never shut up. That is why I root against them, to shut the fans up.

Great win. I was up early and "watching" on the computer. Had a radio link, the NFL live game stats and the TGG game thread open as usual.
My wife, who knows absolutely zilch about football walks in half asleep at about 7am, all pissed at me for showing so much interest in a game of football happening on the other side of the globe. She thinks that since the Aussie rules season finished 6 weeks ago and the cricket doesn't start for 2 more weeks that she might get some attention this time of year.

Anyway the funny part (I laughed anyway) was the nickname she inadvertanty gave the Patriots.
She looks at the computer screen through sleepy eyes and says "who are they playing? the Potatos? What kind of name is that?"

I have friends who are Giants fans and they never tell me that the Jets suck I don't say that to them either. But one time I was at a Jets/Giants preseason game and it was a Giants home game. I was tailgating with my friend and these four Giants fans were walking towards us. One of them had his cell phone and told his friend to hold on. He walks up to us and he intentionally tipped over my friends beer. I was wearing my Chrebet jersey and I stood up and yelled at him.

He came back towards me and tried to offer me money for tipping over the beer and he continually told me the Jets suck right in my face. I told him you just tipped over a Giants fans beer. Thankfully nothing happened, but I told him to get out of my face and move on before I called security to kick their ass.

I wasn't going to get into a fight during a meaningless pre-season game.

But this is a Patriots loss we are celebrating here. And the Jets beat them.

Its crazy that what happened in 2002 is repeating itself.....blown out by Jags, close loss to cleveland, and now beating the pats at home....I have a really good feeling about the second half of the season. I'll be smiling all week fellas........

That was a great win. Kevin Barlow had a very good game and the offensive line really played well. The defense also stepped up today and did a good job and that was a great TD catch by Cotchery.

I hope that it doesn't completely repeat itself because the jets lossed to the bears in 02.
