Would you please give the man a chance? Sixpicktrick has always been Sixpicktrick, he wins when his defense allows him to get a lead or if he is playing a bad team. In order for this year's team to win, the defense has to play superbly, and Bowles has to be given the time to figure it out. But this season has never been a win now season, no matter what the media and the team say, our team just isn't that great. A few older stars and otherwise young players who need to grow into the job, and the job of building the team isn't even half finished, much less finished. I hope Bowles gets to stay 5 years to see what he can create. Ron
I was joking. I don't go by what the media says...and I certainly don't go by what a bunch of chicken littles write on a fan forum. But you have to admit that the buck stops with Bowled...and he's looking a bit lost on the sideline. He needs to start inserting his boot firmly up some asses... starting with the 12 million dollar man.
Give the man a chance? SMH He has regressed since last year. He was making adjustments during games last year. He had the team playing smart, disciplined football last year. He was putting players in position to succeed last year. He's doing none of that this year. He's having chances now every week and he's blowing them. How many seasons is the team supposed to wait and hope the light goes on for Bowles? How many seasons are we fans supposed to have to suffer through before the team gets it right? Bowles had the entire offseason to think about this team. We all know what Fitz is. How is it that Bowles, a professional whose spent his career in the game doesn't know? How is it that we can see that his D isn't working, but he can't? Get real. That's a sign of not being competent or ready for the job. I loved the Bowles hiring. I thought he did a very good, if not great, job last year. I want him to succeed. I don't want to have to start over with yet another HC, but I'm not willing to wait 3 years, much less 5 years for him to figure out how to do his job. Again, it's not the losing, but how the team is losing. They are unprepared for opponents, the game plans are bad, execution is bad, the team is beating itself with mental errors, dumb penalties, missed tackles, and horrible play and TOs by the starting QB. That's all on the HC and inexecusable. It doesn't take quality HCs months and years to figure things out. We need to see immediate changes and improvements, and we need to see real evidence that he is capable of being a first-rate HC or he needs to lose his job sooner rather than later. We were patient with Rex when things started going sideways and what did that get us? Nothing. With the way Bowles is coaching now, there's no way in hell he should even sniff 4 years, much less 5.
No doubt Bowles, the heartless D, & pitiful Team swagger are all epidemics worthy of discussion. All those issues are at least fixable(one way or another) over the long haul. This is about killing the dragon. Quarterback has got to get solved. No other problem needs to even be considered until this is solved.How many more years of subpar QB play do we have to endure? No more being passive either. Give Petty & Hack their shot;Not an evaluation period. Grab this team by the balls & make it yours or we will find someone else who will in offseason. QB should be treated no differently than say a Left Tackle. Hardest yet most essential position on the field. Those guys assert themselves as alphas on the field or they are replaced.They must be effective players on every snap.Teams have no choice.That's what the Jets need at QB. No more hiding behind lack of supporting cast, learning the scheme,time to develop...all those things are important but not in this market for this team. Be a competent effective leader who minimizes turnovers & puts the ball in the end zone. End of story. As for the other team issues. You can't fix the freak show till you've got a lion tamer.
