After the Mangenius fiasco, I find it hard to believe that someone that respects Bill Belichek would even consider being "HC of the NYJ". Also, I can't stand that fist pumping idiot.
He fits the criteria that I'd be looking for in the next HC. He seems to have his head too far up Belichicks ass though and probably would have zero interest in Jets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There is virtually no chance he would ever come here. No matter where he goes he would always want that door still open to return to NE if he fails and it would be padlocked shut if this is where he went.
considering there's been zero Belichick assistants to have sustained success as HC not sure why anyone would want McDaniels in the first place. Then you factor in he wouldn't come here because it'd piss off BB.
How many Belichick proteges have been successful on their own? 0. Mangini got a second chance and was worse. No evidence McDaniel will break that trend.
No thanks. In his brief tenure as HC of the Denver Broncos, he was horrible. Some try to invoke a comparison to Belichick back in Cleveland, ---- but that was nothing similar. BB got totally jawed when you look back on the facts.
There's almost no way Bowles is gone after this year....... we really need to stop talking like it's a certainty
You win with players forget the coach nonsense. By the way Kenny Britt looks pretty good for the Rams. Funny how posters were mocked for suggesting that the Jets look at him.
How many years has Britt been in the league? He had a very problematic record in college, and I think his first year or two in the NFL. I was against him. He seemed like a head case. If he got his act together, then good for him.
1000x no to this guy Briefly a HC and he was meh So many other potential candidates with great HC experience is what we need Sick of the newbe Coordinators chance at Head coaching So glad Mac will make this choice Oh and least 2 talking heads have said we are done if we don't win Monday...Not lovin it
While we're sitting here talking about hiring a NE retread to save us, the HC we ran out of town just beat the 49ers 45-16 for his 4th win in a row....
Josh McDaniels would never sign with the NY Jets. Belichick is his mentor and he wouldn't do that - he's been advised that his second HC coaching gig, usually you don't get a third try. He's in position to kind of pick his situation and wait for an opening at a good team and go there. Usually even a good coordinator will have to take whatever is available, but he can afford to wait for a better team.
