Exactly thanks for proving my point.Go look at the history of teams that go 4-12 or worse and find there "easy"schedule the following year. The Browns went 3-13 last year and besides there divisonal games they get Ny Giants,Eagles,Patriots,Redskins,Jets,Bills Dolphins,Cowboys,Titans Chargers. So the NFL gave them a game against the Titans for going 3-13.Each division plays against the same teams every year with the exception of 2 games. Those 2 games are not enough to make a diffrence. For instance The Browns get The Titans and Chargers and the Steelers get the Cheifs and the Colts but besides that there schedules are the same as far as who there playing.

Good write up. Most people who saw the schedule before the year knew we were in for a little bit of trouble. I didn't expect Fitz to match his numbers from last year, but his turnover rate is definitely a huge cause for concern. I did think that we has one of the best teams, position by position, in the NFL but that seems to have been quite wrong.

The one thing that has really surprised me is how bad the secondary has been. There are major busted coverages every game.. I may be off, but have we given up about 28-35 points in 30 plus yard TD plays so far this year? Prior has taken a pretty large step back, and you hear Gilchrist's name as much as a great OL.

We are one and 3 because:
A- we have the most overrated starting QB, without the ability to open up the field, making the defensive game planning a breeze.
B- we don't have the tools at the HC/OC/QB position to game change on the fly
C- our defense is inept because of poor coaching by the DC and a porous, out of position secondary

Bottom line this team has talent across the board but our QB. Yes our secondary is struggling but that can be fixed. Fitz can not. They need to bench him and either start Geno or maybe trade for a vet. Then cut Geno.

To me the defense is just as part of the problem as Fitz and his awfulness. They arent creating turnovers like they did last year.Could you imagine if Mac gave Fitz a big contract?Good thing he held his ground because he would be getting run out of town if he did.Good thing we wasted a 2nd round pick on Hackenberg .....where would we be if we actually drafted studs in round 2 every year?In the playoffs thats where.Missing in round 2 every year is the reason we are a joke.

If we don't win next week AND the week after, this franchise needs to do itself a favor and figure out if Geno and/or Petty fit into the long term plans. Hackenberg is another story, as he still looks to be multiple years away.

If not, they need to grow some balls and move up to go get their guy in the draft. I don't like Kizer or Watson a ton, although I like Watson's capabilities more. Don't know much about Kaaya. We also need to get rid of some of the older expensive veterans that are underperforming (*cough* Revis *cough* and Harris) and flip this into a much truer version of a rebuild. We geared up and got the veterans to try to make a run at it. 2015 was the year, and it didn't happen.

Hopefully one of these quarterbacks magically sprout into a player or one of the prospects in draft can become the man and we can nab them. The team and franchise will continue to be hamstrung if the position isn't addressed with stability.
