More sure-handed in terms of PR / KR then the rook. Might be able to catch a few balls. Strictly STs

Thought he had a real good camp. If it weren't for the fact that Marshall has way more longterm upside I think he would have been our PR/KR without question.

Probably going to be an improvement in the KR/PR game. Doesnt have the upside of Marshall, but I doubt he'll be giving the ball to the other team.

    I like the move.

Definitely a better punt returner and more sure handed

Hopefully he can keep up Marshall's ability to push the ball 30 yards downfield on kickoffs pretty consistently without the ball security issues.

Without coughing up the ball every game. After Marshall's bobble in the end zone that looked like he wasn't putting in an effort you just knew another fumble was coming and sure enough he spit the bit.

So who's getting cut to make room for ASJ and ross?
I'm guessing marshall got hurt which is why we seen anderson at WR and enunwa return a kick, but how bad is it? I assume bowman gets cut to make room for ASJ

Edit: lawerence thomas got put on IR to make room for moss, marshall has a torn labrun and will miss time. So ross is going to be our PR/KR while marshall is out. and robby anderson becomes our 4th WR

Julian Stanford was released to make room for ASJ, and then i believe added to the PS.

Just read that Lawrence Thomas had a shoulder injury and was put on IR, which i didn't know.
    He looked promising for future.
Then they signed WR Myles White to the PS, and booted S Ronald Martin.

    How bad is Marshall's injury?
I had to have surgery when i tore my shoulder labrum.

You can play football with a torn shoulder labrum. I did a couple of seasons in HS. It probably depends on the severity.

Ross should have been been our returner from Day 1. You'd think the staff would have learned from the Devin Smith fiasco last year why you shouldn't let a fumble prone rookie be your returner.

He should be OK. I'm guessing he'll miss a few weeks. Depends on if he can play through pain or not

He's fumbled the ball 10 times in 45 career games which I guess would still be an improvement over the rate Marshall was coughing it up.....

I thought the same thing during preseason, but liked the courage it takes to go with the youth and so many of them. So many regimes in the past have stuck to veterans. Parcells, Edwards, Ryan, all stayed with their vets no matter what. Bowles has made bold moves in shaping the team, from cutting high draft picks ( Coples, Millner, Amaro ) to going with youth ( half the team is 25 or younger ).

Don't get me wrong, I like the Ross move. He has fumble problems as well, but a change had to happen.
